1. A process for managing medical data contained in a memory of an active implantable medical device, comprising:

  • providing a programmer having a telemetry system to communicate with said active implantable medical device and a database containing at least one patient identifier and associated with each patient identifier, an address of a follow-up practitioner ensuring medical treatment of the patient, and said medical data;

    establishing a telemetry link between said active implantable medical device and said programmer;

    reading said medical data in said memory using said programmer;

    memorizing in said programmer database said medical data thus read;

    transmitting to a microcomputer associated with said follow-up practitioner, at the associated follow-up practitioner address, the medical data associated with the identified patient; and

    collecting, treating and presenting to the follow-up practitioner the medical data thus transmitted.
