Abstract

An electronic device comprises first and second antennas for a first radio communication scheme that uses a diversity scheme, and a third antenna for a second radio communication scheme arranged between the first and second antennas.

Claims

1. An electronic device comprising:

first and second antennas for a first radio communication scheme which uses a diversity scheme; and

a third antenna for a second radio communication scheme arranged between the first and second antennas.

2. The device according to claim 1, wherein the first antenna includes a transmission/reception antenna, the second antenna includes a reception antenna, and the third antenna is arranged at a position close to the second antenna than the first antenna.

3. The device according to claim 2, further comprising a display unit, and wherein the first, second, and third antennas are arranged at an upper portion of the display unit.

4. The device according to claim 3, further comprising a main body having a keyboard, and wherein the display unit is attached to the main body to be movable between a closed position at which the display unit covers the keyboard and an open position at which the keyboard is exposed.

5. The device according to claim 4, wherein the main body comprises a first transmission/reception circuit connected to the first antenna and second antennas and a second transmission/reception circuit connected to the third antenna.

6. The device according to claim 1, wherein the second radio communication scheme uses a diversity scheme, and further comprising a fourth antenna for the second radio communication scheme.

7. The device according to claim 6, wherein the first antenna includes a transmission/reception antenna, the second antenna includes a reception antenna, the third antenna includes a transmission/reception antenna, the fourth antenna includes a reception antenna, the third antenna is arranged between the first and second antennas, and the first antenna is arranged between the third and fourth antennas.

8. The device according to claim 7, further comprising a display unit, and wherein the first, second, third, and fourth antennas are arranged at an upper portion of the display unit.

9. The device according to claim 8, further comprising a main body having a keyboard, and wherein the display unit is attached to the main body to be movable between a closed position at which the display unit covers the keyboard and an open position at which the keyboard is exposed.

10. The device according to claim 9, wherein the main body comprises a first transmission/reception circuit connected to the first and second antennas and a second transmission/reception circuit connected to the third and fourth antennas.

11. A method of mounting an antenna to an electronic device comprising a first transmission/reception circuit of a diversity communication scheme and a second transmission/reception circuit, the method comprising:

arranging a first diversity antenna connected to the first transmission/reception circuit at an upper portion of a display device;

arranging a second diversity antenna connected to the first transmission/reception circuit at the upper portion of the display device; and

arranging a third antenna connected to the second transmission/reception circuit between the first and second antennas.

12. A method of mounting an antenna to an electronic device comprising a first transmission/reception circuit of a diversity communication scheme and a second transmission/reception circuit, the method comprising:

arranging a first diversity antenna connected to the first transmission/reception circuit at an upper portion of a display device;

arranging a second diversity antenna connected to the first transmission/reception circuit at the upper portion of the display device;

arranging a third diversity antenna connected to the second transmission/reception circuit between the first and second antennas; and

arranging a fourth diversity antenna connected to the second transmission/reception circuit at the upper portion of the display device.

13. An electronic device comprising:

a first transmission/reception circuit of a diversity communication scheme;

a second transmission/reception circuit;

a display device;

a first diversity antenna connected to the first transmission/reception circuit at an upper portion of the display device;

a second diversity antenna connected to the first transmission/reception circuit at the upper portion of the display device; and

a third antenna connected to the second transmission/reception circuit between the first and second antennas.
