Abstract

The invention concerns a vehicle seat with a head rest detachably fastenable at a backrest of the seat and with an integrated video screen, for which the head rest has a storing space. In order to obtain an improved possibility to mount the seat using simple constructive means and in order to guarantee a high security for the passengers of the vehicle in its mounted state the video screen is fastened in the storing space in a form-locking and/or force-locking manner between the head rest and the backrest. In particular in a first embodiment the video screen is fastened on a support piece of the backrest, which is provided with sleeves for supporting rods of the head rest and with a plug-in contact for the video screen.

Claims

1. Vehicle seat, comprising a back rest detachably fastened to a head rest and an integrated display device, the head rest having a retaining space for said display device, characterized in that the display device, when mounted, being fitted into the retaining space between the head rest and the back rest by contact or force connection.

2. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that a support portion for the display device is positioned in the other part of the back rest.

3. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display device comprises at least one particularly place bottom portion form which the display is projecting in a perpendicular direction.

4. Vehicle seat according to claim 3, characterized in that the outline of the bottom part is larger than the outline of the display and preferably is comprising the outline of the display.

5. Vehicle seat according to claim 3, characterized in that the outline of the bottom part substantially corresponds to the outline of a/the support portion in the upper part of the back rest.

6. Vehicle seat according to claim 3, characterized in that the outline of the bottom part substantially corresponds to the outline of the bottom surface of the head rest.

7. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the mounting posts for connecting the head rest with the back rest are fixed to the lower surface of the head rest.

8. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that fixing sleeves for connecting the back rest with the head rest are positioned in the back rest.

9. Vehicle seat according to claim 8, characterized in that the fixing sleeves are connected to each other in a bridge-like way via a/the support portion for the display device.

10. Vehicle seat according to claim 3, characterized in that passage apertures for the mounting post(s) of the head rest are positioned in the bottom part.

Vehicle seat according to claim 3, characterized in that a female connector connected to connecting lines for the connection with a corresponding male connector of the display device, particularly disposed in the bottom of the display device is integrated into the rest part for the display device.

12. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the connecting lines of the female connector are disposed within the back rest.

13. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display of the display device is formed as a flat display, particularly as a LCD-display.

14. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the retaining space is provided as a recess within the head rest comprising the display device in close contact when mounted to a viewer of the display device as well as downwardly in direction of the back rest.

15. Vehicle seat according to the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that at least the display of the display device can be pivoted around an axis (X-X) extending in the transverse direction of the seat, said axis being provided in the upper part of the back rest.

16. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display can be pivoted backwards (opposite to the travel direction (F)) against the action of a spring means, particularly by generating a first torque (M1).

17. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display can be pivoted forwardly (in the travel direction (F)), particularly by generating a second torque (M2).

Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display can be forwardly pivoted (in the travel direction F)) particularly by generating a third torque (M3) and the development of strong acceleration forces as for instance on occasion of a rear collision against the action of a dampening element.

Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that a means is integrated into the display device, said means preferably comprising at least one spring element and one dampening element and defining the development of the movement when pivoting the display, particularly the forces and torques (M1, M2, M3) respectively causing and restraining the pivotal movement.

20. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one cover can be fixed onto the display of the display device, preferably a front cover and a rear cover.

21. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display of the display device is supported within a frame, particularly a multipart frame.

22. Vehicle seat according to claim 21, characterized in that the multipart frame comprises a front frame part and a rear frame part.

Vehicle seat according to claim 21, characterized in that the multipart frame comprises a spring housing, a dampening housing and a housing for introducing cables, said houses being connectable to a common frame part and preferably being mountable in an interposition between the front frame part and the rear frame part.

24. Vehicle seat according to the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that the display in case given, including its cover(s) is pivotally supported around a centre axis extending in the transverse direction of the seat and particularly received within the frame.

25. Vehicle seat according to claim 24, characterized in that the display can be pivoted around a centre axis (Y-Y) extending in the transverse direction of the seat.

26. Vehicle seat according to claim 24, characterized in that the display device includes a brake mechanism restricting back and forward pivoting of the display.

27. Vehicle seat according to claim 1, characterized in that the display is pivotally supported around an axis extending in the transverse direction of the seat as well as a vertically extending axis, particularly by a support within two ball joints located in one/the frame or particularly in one/the back cover part.
