Abstract
Method and apparatus is provided for use with a rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) display window in a mobile communication device to selectively adjust the presentation of text. Eye tracking sensors are used to detect when a reader'"'"'s focus shifts outside the text window, indicating that the reader has become inattentive to displayed text. Thereupon, presentation of text is halted. When the eye tracking sensors detect that the focus of the reader'"'"'s eyes has shifted back into the text window, text presentation is resumed. Usefully, the rate of text presentation is slowed down or speeded up, when the eye tracking sensors detect the reader'"'"'s eyes to be focused on the left edge or on the right edge, respectively, of the text display window.
