1. A method for selecting the appropriate audio files to create an audio message for a targeted individual, the method comprising the steps of:
- receiving an identifier from the targeted individual;
retrieving information related to the targeted individual from a database record based upon the identifier received from the targeted individual;
selecting at least one generic audio file for inclusion in the audio message;
selecting at least one tailored audio file for inclusion in the audio message, the at least one tailored audio file selected based upon at least a portion of the retrieved information related to the targeted individual, wherein for a first tailored audio file corresponding to a name of the targeted individual, the first tailored audio file is selected by;
comparing a retrieved name from the database record to a primary field in a table to identify a primary field entry that corresponds to the retrieved name; and
selecting the audio file associated with the primary field entry, the selected audio file being associated with the primary field based upon the pronunciation of the retrieved name.

Abstract
A marketing system for communicating with an audience including a targeted individual. The marketing system includes a plurality of audio recordings accessible by a processor. The processor is adapted to present the targeted individual with a resource including an audio component in response to the presentment of an identifier by the targeted individual. The audio component of the resource includes a selection of the audio recordings selected from the plurality of audio recordings. The audio component includes at least one generic portion and at least one tailored portion. The generic portion includes marketing information. At least a first tailored portion is configured based on at least a portion of the data in the database related to the targeted individual or the identifier provided by the targeted individual. A table is provided to select an audio file corresponding to the name of the targeted individual based on the pronunciation of the name of the individual.

a database accessible by the processor including a table comprising a primary field and a secondary field, the primary field including a plurality of primary field entries, each primary field entry including the spelling of a name, the secondary field including a plurality of secondary field entries, each secondary field entry corresponding to a primary field entry and containing the filename of an audio file associated with the name in the corresponding primary field entry, the audio file being associated with the primary field entry based upon the pronunciation of the name in the primary field entry; and
a resource including an input;
the processor adapted to receive an identifier from the targeted individual through the input of the resource, the identifier corresponding to a name of the targeted individual, and present the targeted individual with a media, the media including an audio component, the audio component having at least one generic portion configured to present the targeted individual with marketing information and at least one tailored portion corresponding to the identifier, the at least one tailored portion selected by comparing the received identifier to the primary field entries in the database. - View Dependent Claims (13)
