Abstract

A system, method and computer program product are disclosed for assessing market trends in a supply chain management framework. A network is utilized to receive data that relates to the sale of goods by a plurality of stores in a plurality of regions. The received data is tagged with a date on which it was collected and then organized by region and dates. Market trends are then assessed utilizing the organized data.

Claims

1. A method for assessing market trends in a supply chain management framework, comprising:

a) receiving data utilizing a network, the data relating to the sale of goods by a plurality of stores in a plurality of regions;

b) tagging the data with a date on which it was collected;

c) organizing the data by region and dates; and

d) assessing market trends utilizing the organized data.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the network includes the Internet.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the market trends are assessed via a network-based interface.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the market trends are assessed utilizing a graph.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the graph includes dates as one coordinate.

10. The system of claim 4, wherein the graph includes dates as one coordinate.

6. A system for assessing market trends in a supply chain management framework, comprising:

a) logic for receiving data utilizing a network, the data relating to the sale of goods by a plurality of stores in a plurality of regions;

b) logic for tagging the data with a date on which it was collected;

c) logic for organizing the data by region and dates; and

d) logic for assessing market trends utilizing the organized data.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the network includes the Internet.

8. The system of claim 6, wherein the market trends are assessed via a network-based interface.

9. The system of claim 6, wherein the market trends are assessed utilizing a graph.

11. A computer program product for assessing market trends in a supply chain management framework, comprising:

a) computer code for receiving data utilizing a network, the data relating to the sale of goods by a plurality of stores in a plurality of regions;

b) computer code for tagging the data with a date on which it was collected;

c) computer code for organizing the data by region and dates; and

d) computer code for assessing market trends utilizing the organized data.

12. The computer program product of claim 11, wherein the network includes the Internet.

13. The computer program product of claim 11, wherein the market trends are assessed via a network-based interface.

14. The computer program product of claim 11, wherein the market trends are assessed utilizing a graph.

15. The computer program product of claim 14, wherein the graph includes dates as one coordinate.
