Abstract

A LED light assembly, the light assembly comprising a reflective plate comprising a plurality of perforations formed therethrough the reflective plate, a plurality of LED bulbs wherein each LED bulb protrudes through a respective perforation of the plurality of perforations, and a control circuit selectively operable to produce a plurality of colored lights through the plurality of LED bulbs wherein the control circuit comprises a switch which when activated a defined number of times produces a plurality of at least light colors and light patterns wherein each of the plurality of at least light colors and light patterns are selected based on the defined number of times the switch is activated.

Claims

1. A LED light assembly, said light assembly comprising:

(a) a reflective plate comprising a plurality of perforations formed therethrough said reflective plate;

(b) a plurality of LED bulbs wherein each LED bulb protrudes through a respective perforation of said plurality of perforations;

(c) a control circuit selectively operable to produce a plurality of colored lights through said plurality of LED bulbs;

(d) wherein said control circuit comprises a switch which when activated a defined number of times produces a plurality of at least light colors and light patterns wherein each of said plurality of at least light colors and light patterns are selected based on said defined number of times said switch is activated.

2. The light assembly of claim 1 wherein a LED bulb in said plurality of LED bulbs comprises long leads connecting said LED bulb to said control circuit and providing a distance between said LED bulb and said control circuit.

3. The light assembly of claim 2 wherein a sidewall of a perforation of said reflective plate providing support to said leads.

4. The light assembly of claim 2 wherein said reflective plate is a white plate.

5. The light assembly of claim 1 further comprising an Edison-style connector that fits within an Edison-style electric base.

6. The light assembly of claim 1 wherein said light assembly is operable with at least one of 12 volts and 24 volts.

7. The light assembly of claim 1 further comprising an existing niche pool lighting fixture wherein said light assembly connects within said existing niche pool lighting fixture.

8. The light assembly of claim 1 further comprising a fiber optic cable bundle connected to said plurality of LED bulbs providing light to each LED bulb.

9. The light assembly of claim 1 wherein said control circuit is held in place in said light assembly with a thermal conductive epoxy.

10. The light assembly of claim 1 wherein an outer surface of said reflective plate has a convex shape.

11. The light assembly of claim 1 wherein each LED bulb in said plurality of LED bulbs is operable to illuminate in a plurality of colors.

12. The light assembly of claim 5 wherein said light assembly comprises a body comprising a plurality of symmetrically-shaped portions decreasing in size starting at said reflective plate and ending at said Edison-style connector.

13. The light assembly of claim 1 wherein a LED bulb of said plurality of LED bulbs ranges in power from 1 to 5 watts.

14. A LED light assembly for a pool of water that is operable to replace an incandescent light in an existing niche pool lighting fixture, said light assembly comprising:

(a) a body comprising a first end and a second end wherein a plurality of symmetrically-shaped portions decreasing in size from said first end to said second end are formed therebetween said first end and said second;

(b) a reflective plate connected to said first end comprising a plurality of perforations formed therethrough said reflective plate;

(c) a plurality of LED bulbs wherein each LED bulb protrudes through a respective perforation of said plurality of perforations;

(d) an Edison-style connector connected to said second end;

(e) a control circuit selectively operable to produce a plurality of colored lights through said plurality of LED bulbs;

(f) wherein said control circuit comprises a switch which when activated a defined number of times produces a plurality of at least light colors and light patterns wherein each of said plurality of at least light colors and light patterns are selected based on said defined number of times said switch is activated.

15. The light assembly of claim 14 wherein said reflective plate is a white plate.

16. The light assembly of claim 14 wherein said reflective plate insulates said control circuit from heat dissipated by said plurality of LED bulbs.

17. The light assembly of claim 14 further comprising a fiber optic cable bundle connected to said plurality of LED bulbs providing light to each LED bulb.

18. The light assembly of claim 14 wherein said plurality of LED bulbs are dispersed at a plurality of angles to minimize reflectivity from an interior surface liner of said pool of water.

19. The light assembly of claim 14 wherein said plurality of LED bulbs are dispersed at a plurality of beam angels.

20. A swimming pool light assembly, said light assembly comprising:

(a) a plate comprising a plurality of perforations and a plurality of edges;

(b) a plurality of LED bulbs wherein each LED bulb protrudes through a respective perforation of said plurality of perforations;

(c) a plurality of sidewall segments wherein each respective sidewall segment is attached to a respective edge of said plate; and

(d) a plurality of slots formed therethrough a sidewall segment of said plurality of sidewalls.

21. The light assembly of claim 20 further comprising a transparent lens covering said plurality of LED bulbs.

22. The light assembly of claim 20 wherein said plurality of slots are operable for water to flow therethrough.

23. The light assembly of claim 20 further comprising a mounting bracket operable to connect said pool light assembly to a side of said swimming pool.

24. The light assembly of claim 23 further comprising a protective surface attachment placed between said mounting bracket and said side of said swimming pool.

25. The light assembly of claim 20 further comprising a control circuit selectively operable to illuminate a plurality of colored lights through said plurality of LED bulbs.

26. The light assembly of claim 25 wherein said control circuit comprises a switch which when activated a defined number of times produces a plurality of at least light colors and light patterns wherein each of said plurality of at least light colors and light patterns are based on said defined number of times said switch is activated.

27. The light assembly of claim 25 wherein said control circuit is located at a location remote from said swimming pool and connectors provide control signals to said light assembly.

28. The light assembly of claim 20 further comprising a fiber optic cable bundle connected to said plurality of LED bulbs providing light to each LED bulb.

29. The light assembly of claim 20 wherein each LED bulb in said plurality of LED bulbs is operable to illuminate in a plurality of colors.
