Abstract

A system for generating profile information for users of a gaming application comprises a server, a processor remotely coupled to the server, and a memory coupled to the processor. The server executes a gaming application and monitors a plurality of game events during the execution of the gaming application by a particular user. The server further communicates first event information associated with a first game event, and communicates second event information associated with a second game event. The processor receives the first event information and the second event information. The processor further generates profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information. The memory stores the profile information.

Claims

1. A system for generating profile information for users of a gaming application, comprising:

a server operable to;

execute a gaming application;

monitor a plurality of game events during the execution of the gaming application by a particular user; and

communicate first event information associated with a first game event; and

communicate second event information associated with a second game event;

a processor remotely coupled to the server and operable to;

receive the first event information;

receive the second event information; and

generate profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information; and

a memory coupled to the processor and operable to store the profile information.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein each game event comprises an action performed during the execution of the gaming application that changes the state of the gaming application.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the first event information comprises:

a gaming application identifier;

a user identifier;

an event type;

an event value; and

an event timestamp.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the profile information comprises:

a user identifier;

statistics information;

user attributes; and

selection criteria.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the profile information comprises first profile information and the processor is further operable to:

receive third event information associated with a third game event, wherein the third game event is associated with the execution by a second user of a second gaming application;

receive fourth event information associated with a fourth game event, wherein the fourth game event is associated with the execution by the second user of the second gaming application; and

generate second profile information associated with the second user based at least in part upon the third event information and the fourth event information.

6. The system of claim 5, further comprising a second server operable to host the second gaming application.

7. The system of claim 5, wherein the processor receives the first event information and the third event information substantially simultaneously.

8. The system of claim 5, wherein the processor is further operable to:

compare the first profile information associated with the first user and the second profile information associated with the second user; and

match the first user against the second user in a competition based at least in part upon the comparison of the first profile information and the second profile information, wherein the competition is associated with the execution of the gaming application.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the processor is further operable to determine statistics information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the processor generates the profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the statistics information associated with the user.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein the processor is further operable to:

compare the statistics information associated with the user and the profile information associated with the user; and

audit the execution of the gaming application by the user based at least in part upon the comparison of the statistics information and the profile information.

12. A platform for generating profile information for users of a gaming application, comprising:

receive first event information associated with a first game event, wherein the first game event is associated with the execution by a user of a gaming application hosted by a remote server;

receive second event information associated with a second game event, wherein the second game event is associated with the execution by the user of the gaming application; and

generate profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information; and

a memory coupled to the processor and operable to store the profile information.

13. The platform of claim 12, wherein each game event comprises an action performed during the execution of the gaming application that changes the state of the gaming application.

14. The platform of claim 12, wherein the first event information comprises:

a gaming application identifier;

a user identifier;

an event type;

an event value; and

an event timestamp.

15. The platform of claim 12, wherein the profile information comprises:

a user identifier;

statistics information;

user attributes; and

selection criteria.

16. The platform of claim 12, wherein the user comprises a first user and the profile information comprises first profile information, and the processor is further operable to:

receive third event information associated with a third game event, wherein the third game event is associated with the execution by a second user of a second gaming application; and

receive fourth event information associated with a fourth game event, wherein the fourth game event is associated with the execution by the second user of the second gaming application; and

generate second profile information associated with the second user based at least in part upon the third event information and the fourth event information.

17. The platform of claim 16, wherein the processor receives the first event information and the third event information substantially simultaneously.

18. The platform of claim 16, wherein the processor is further operable to:

compare the first profile information associated with the first user and the second profile information associated with the second user; and

match the first user against the second user in a competition based at least in part upon the comparison of the first profile information and the second profile information, wherein the competition is associated with the execution of the gaming application.

19. The platform of claim 12, wherein the processor is further operable to determine statistics information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information.

20. The platform of claim 19, wherein the processor generates the profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the statistics information associated with the user.

21. The platform of claim 20, wherein the processor is further operable to:

compare the statistics information associated with the user and the profile information associated with the user; and

audit the execution of the gaming application by the user based at least in part upon the comparison of the statistics information and the profile information.

22. The platform of claim 16, wherein the second gaming application is hosted by a second remote server.

23. A method for generating profile information for users of a gaming application, comprising:

receiving first event information associated with a first game event, wherein the first game event is associated with the execution by a user of a gaming application hosted by a remote server;

receiving second event information associated with a second game event, wherein the second game event is associated with the execution by the user of the gaming application;

generating profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information; and

storing the profile information.

24. The method of claim 23, wherein each game event comprises an action performed during the execution of the gaming application that changes the state of the gaming application.

25. The method of claim 23, wherein the first event information comprises:

a gaming application identifier;

a user identifier;

an event type;

an event value; and

an event timestamp.

26. The method of claim 23, wherein the profile information comprises:

a user identifier;

statistics information;

user attributes; and

selection criteria.

27. The method of claim 23, wherein the user comprises a first user and the profile information comprises first profile information, the method further comprising:

receiving third event information associated with a third game event, wherein the third game event is associated with the execution by a second user of a second gaming application;

receiving fourth event information associated with a fourth game event, wherein the fourth game event is associated with the execution by the second user of the second gaming application; and

generating second profile information associated with the second user based at least in part upon the third event information and the fourth event information.

28. The method of claim 27, further comprising receiving the first event information and the third event information substantially simultaneously.

29. The method of claim 27, further comprising:

comparing the first profile information associated with the first user and the second profile information associated with the second user; and

matching the first user against the second user in a competition based at least in part upon the comparison of the first profile information and the second profile information, wherein the competition is associated with the execution of the gaming application.

30. The method of claim 23, further comprising determining statistics information associated with the user based at least in part upon the first event information and the second event information.

31. The method of claim 30, further comprising generating the profile information associated with the user based at least in part upon the statistics information associated with the user.

32. The method of claim 31, further comprising:

comparing the statistics information associated with the user and the profile information associated with the user; and

auditing the execution of the gaming application by the user based at least in part upon the comparison of the statistics information and the profile information.

33. The method of claim 27, wherein the second gaming application is hosted by a second remote server.
