Abstract

To enable the measurer to easily verify the parameter correction conditions, the correction conditions for the parameters measurable by the measurement device are concurrently displayed on the screen of the measurement device related to the ports used in the parameter measurement. The rows and columns are the receive ports and send ports. The symbol F and the symbol R indicate the type of calibration method applied to the parameters measured by the ports specified in the matrix.

Claims

1. A method of displaying the parameter correction conditions in a determination apparatus having ports to which a device under test is connected in order to determine parameters, a display means, and a memory means, which comprises

the step whereby said correction conditions are read from said memory means in which said correction conditions have been stored and

the step whereby the calibration status of all of said parameters that can be determined by said determination apparatus and the port information used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed all at once in relationship to one another on the display means while referring to said correction conditions that have been read, and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has been conducted and the calibration method that has been conducted are displayed at said parameters that have been calibrated and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has not been conducted is displayed at the others of said parameters.

3. The method in claim 1 or 2, further characterized in that the step whereby parameters are displayed all at once on said display means is the step whereby they are displayed all at once in matrix form.

The method in any of claims 1 through 3, further characterized in that it also comprises the step whereby the fact that said parameters are the subject of determination and the port used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed in relationship to one another on the display means.

The method in any of claims 1 through 4, characterized in that it further comprises the step whereby said parameters that are the subject of determination and related port information are displayed on the display means, with the port information for conducting the proper error correction being displayed when the error correction of the parameters in question that are the subject of determinations is effective and the port information used in determination of the parameters in question being displayed when the error correction of the parameters in question that are the subject of determination is ineffective.

6. The method in any of claims 1 through 5, further characterized in that it comprises

the step whereby all of said parameters that are the subject of calibration by the method of calibration of the parameters in question are enumerated when the error correction of said parameters that are the subject of determination is effective and

the step whereby the fact that correction of said parameters that were enumerated is effective and the port used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed in relationship to one another on the display means.

15. The method in any of claims 1 through 7, further characterized in that said determination apparatus is a network analyzer and said parameters are S parameters.

2. A method of displaying the parameter correction conditions in a determination apparatus having ports to which a device under test is connected in order to determine parameters, a display means, and a memory means, which comprises

the step whereby said correction conditions are read from said memory means in which said correction conditions have been stored and

the step whereby the calibration status of all of said parameters that are the subject of determination and all of the parameters that are the subject of calibration of the method of calibration of the parameters in question and the port information used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed all at once in relationship to one another on the display means while referring to said correction conditions that have been read, and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has been conducted and the calibration method that has been conducted are displayed at said parameters that have been calibrated and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has not been conducted is displayed at the others of said parameters.

7. A method of displaying the parameter correction conditions in a determination apparatus having ports to which a device under test is connected in order to determine parameters, a display means, and a memory means, which comprises

the step whereby said correction conditions of said parameters that are the subject of determination are read from said memory means in which said correction conditions have been stored and

the step whereby the method of calibration of said parameters that are the subject of determination and said ports used for said calibration method are displayed in relationship to one another on the display means while referring to said correction conditions that have been read.

A determination apparatus, characterized in that it is a determination apparatus that conducts a program for displaying parameter correction conditions having ports to which a device under test is connected in order to determine parameters, a display means, and a memory means, and in that said program comprises

the step whereby said correction conditions are read from said memory means in which said correction conditions have been stored and

the step whereby the calibration status of all of said parameters that can be determined by said determination apparatus and the port information used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed all at once in relationship to one another on the display means while referring to said correction conditions that have been read, and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has been conducted and the calibration method that has been conducted are displayed at said parameters that have been calibrated and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has not been conducted is displayed at the others of said parameters.

10. The determination apparatus in claim 8 or 9, further characterized in that the step whereby parameters are displayed all at once on said display means is the step whereby they are displayed all at once in matrix form.

The method in any of claims 8 through 10, further characterized in that it also comprises the step whereby the fact that said parameters are the subject of determination and the port used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed in relationship to one another on the display means.

The determination apparatus in any of claims 8 through 11 further characterized in that it also comprises the step whereby said parameters that are the subject of determination and related port information are displayed on the display means, with the port information for conducting the proper error correction being displayed when the error correction of the parameters in question that are the subject of determinations is effective and the port information used in determination of the parameters in question being displayed when the error correction of the parameters in question that are the subject of determination is ineffective.

13. The determination apparatus in any of claims 8 through 12, further characterized in that it comprises

the step whereby all of said parameters that are the subject of calibration by the method of calibration of the parameters in question are enumerated when the error correction of said parameters that are the subject of determination is effective and

the step whereby the fact that correction of said parameters that were enumerated is effective and the port used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed in relationship to one another on the display means.

16. The determination apparatus in any of claims 8 through 14, further characterized in that said determination apparatus is a network analyzer and said parameter is an S parameter.

A determination apparatus, characterized in that it is a determination apparatus that conducts a program for displaying parameter correction conditions having ports to which a device under test is connected in order to determine parameters, a display means, and a memory means, and in that said program comprises

the step whereby said correction conditions are read from said memory means in which said correction conditions have been stored and

the step whereby the calibration status of all of said parameters that are the subject of determination and all of the parameters that are the subject of calibration of the method of calibration of the parameters in question and the port information used in determination of the parameters in question are displayed all at once in relationship to one another on the display means while referring to said correction conditions that have been read, and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has been conducted and the calibration method that has been conducted are displayed at said parameters that have been calibrated and the fact that calibration effective for error correction of the parameters in question has not been conducted is displayed at the others of said parameters.

A determination apparatus, characterized in that it is a determination apparatus that conducts a program for displaying the parameter correction conditions having ports to which a device under test is connected in order to determine parameters, a display means, and a memory means, which comprises

the step whereby said correction conditions of said parameters that are the subject of determinations are read from said memory means in which said correction conditions have been stored and

the step whereby the method of calibration of said parameters that are the subject of determinations and said ports used for said calibration method are displayed in relationship to one another on the display means while referring to said correction conditions that have been read.
