Abstract

A method of enabling the display of a plurality of picture files on a cellular telephone is disclosed. The method comprises steps of providing an icon associated with a plurality of picture files on a display of the cellular telephone; enabling the selection of the icon; and simultaneously displaying the plurality of picture files on the display of the cellular telephone.

Claims

1. A method of enabling the display of a plurality of picture files on a cellular telephone, said method comprising the steps of:

providing an icon associated with a plurality of picture files on a display of said cellular telephone;

enabling the selection of said icon; and

simultaneously displaying said plurality of picture files on said display of said cellular telephone.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising a step of enabling a user to select an individual picture file of said plurality of picture files on said display of said cellular telephone.

3. The method of claim 1 further comprising a step of providing a plurality of selection options, each said selection option being associated with a picture file of said plurality of picture files.

4. The method of claim 3 further comprising a step of enabling a user to select a selection option associated with a picture file of said plurality of picture files.

5. The method of claim 4 wherein said step of enabling a user to select a selection option comprises a enabling a feature for displaying said picture file.

6. A method of enabling the display of a picture file on a cellular telephone, said method comprising the steps of:

providing a plurality of icons on display of said cellular telephone;

providing an icon of said plurality of icons associated with a plurality of picture files;

enabling the selection of said icon associated with said plurality of picture files; and

simultaneously displaying said plurality of picture files on said display of said cellular telephone.

7. The method of claim 6 further comprising a step of enabling a user to select a picture file.

8. The method of claim 7 further comprising a step of displaying an enlarged picture of the selected picture file.

9. The method of claim 6 further comprising a step of enabling a user to select the order in which said plurality picture files are displayed on said display of said cellular telephone.

10. The method of claim 9 wherein said step of enabling a user to select the order in which said plurality picture files are displayed on said display of said cellular telephone comprises enabling a user to select the order of said picture files from a location remote from said cellular telephone.

11. A method of enabling the display of a picture file on a cellular telephone, said method comprising the steps of:

providing an icon associated with a plurality of picture files on a display of said cellular telephone;

simultaneously displaying said plurality of picture files on said display of said cellular telephone in response to the selection of said icon;

enabling the selection of one picture file of said plurality picture files; and

displaying an enlarged view of said picture file on said display of said cellular telephone.

12. The method of claim 11 further comprising a step of enabling user to select the order in which said picture files are displayed.

13. The method of claim I 1 further comprising a step of providing a plurality of selection options, each said selection option being associated with a picture file of said plurality of picture files.

14. The method of claim 13 further comprising a step of enabling a user to select a selection option associated with a picture file of said plurality of picture files.

15. The method of claim 14 further comprising a step of enabling a user to enter a keyword related to a picture file.

16. A cellular telephone capable displaying a plurality of picture files, said cellular telephone comprising:

a memory storing said plurality of picture files;

a control circuit coupled to said memory;

a user interface coupled to said control circuit, said user interface enabling the selection of a picture file of said plurality of picture files;

a display coupled to said control unit; and

an icon shown on said display, said icon enabling the simultaneous display of said plurality picture files.

17. The cellular telephone of claim 16 wherein said memory further stores information related to said plurality of picture files.

18. The cellular telephone of claim 16 wherein said plurality of picture files are simultaneously displayed as thumbnails on said display of said cellular telephone.

19. The cellular telephone of claim 16 wherein said user interface enables the selection of an individual picture file of said plurality of picture files.

20. The cellular telephone of claim 16 further comprising a plurality of selection options displayed on said display, each said selection option of said plurality of selection options being associated with a picture file of said plurality of picture files.
