- first and second opposing substrates, each substrate having an extension formed at one side;
first and second transparent electrodes formed on surfaces of the first and second substrates facing each other; and
a signal line for applying a signal to each transparent electrode, wherein the signal line is bonded to the first and second transparent electrodes at the extension.

metal electrodes connected to the first and second transparent electrodes in the dead space region and formed on the extension; and
