Abstract
A journal 6 for coupling a wheel 1 to an axle 5 is configured to be mounted in a bore 4 of the wheel 1. The journal 6 defines a reception space 100 for receiving an axle 5. A locking element 10 is pivotally mounted on the journal 6 from a release position in which the axle 5 is removable from the reception space 100 and secured position in which a tooth 35 of the locking element 10 is engaged with a groove 36 in the axle 5. When the tooth 35 of the locking element 10 is engaged in the groove 36 withdrawal of the axle is prevented.
