Abstract

The liquid crystal display device which can prevent the lowering of the aperture rate irrespective of the misalignment of substrates is disclosed. The liquid crystal display device includes a black matrix and respective electrodes which are formed along respective opposing sides of an aperture portion of the black matrix, and respective electrodes are formed in patterns where irrespective of the misalignment of the black matrix in the widthwise direction of the electrodes, the light transmitting region within the aperture portion of the black matrix is made substantially constant.

Claims

1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at lease one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrates;

said a pair of electrodes having bending portion where the electrodes bending and parallel portion where the electrodes substantially in parallel;

wherein said a pair of electrodes are spaced at the bending portion and a width between the electrodes at the bending portion is smaller than a width between the electrodes at the parallel portion.

2. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the bending portion.

3. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrates;

said pair of electrodes having bending portion where the electrodes bending and parallel portion where the electrodes substantially in parallel;

wherein field intensity formed between the electrodes is enhanced at the bending portion than at the parallel portion.

4. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3, wherein field intensity formed between the electrodes is particularly stronger at the bending portion than at the parallel portion.

5. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 3, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the bending portion.

6. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrates;

said a pair of electrodes having ending portion where the electrodes bending and parallel portion where the electrodes substantially in parallel;

wherein said pair of electrodes are spaced at the bending portion and at least one of said a pair of electrodes have protruded form the bending portion.

7. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 6, wherein field intensity formed between the electrodes is enhanced at the bending portion than at the parallel portion.

8. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 6, wherein a width between the electrodes at the bending portion is smaller than a width between the electrodes at the parallel portion.

9. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 6, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the bending portion.

10. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrates;

said a pair of electrodes having V-shaped portion along its longitudinal direction;

wherein said a pair of electrodes are spaced at the V-shaped portion and a width between the electrodes at the V-shaped portion is smaller than a width between the electrodes at another portion where the electrodes are arranged substantially in parallel.

11. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 10, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the V-shaped portion.

12. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrate;

said pair of electrodes having V-shaped portion along its longitudinal direction;

wherein said a pair of electrodes are spaced at the V-shaped portion and field intensity formed between the electrodes is enhanced at the V-shaped portion than another portion where the electrodes are arranged substantially in parallel.

13. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein field intensity formed between the electrodes is particularly stronger at the V-shaped portion.

14. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the V-shaped portion.

15. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrates;

said pair of electrodes having V-shaped portion along its longitudinal direction;

wherein said a pair of electrodes are spaced at the V-shaped portion and at least one of said a pair of electrodes have protruded form at the V-shaped portion.

16. the liquid crystal display device according to claim 15, wherein field intensity formed between the electrodes is enhanced at the V-shaped portion.

17. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 15, wherein a width between the electrodes at the V-shaped portion is smaller than a width between the electrodes where the electrodes are arranged substantially in parallel.

18. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 15, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the V-shaped portion

19. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said pair of opposing substrates;

said a pair of electrodes having bending portion where the electrodes bending and parallel portion where the electrodes substantially in parallel;

means for enhance field intensity formed between the electrodes at the bending portion.

20. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 19, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the bending portion.

21. A liquid crystal device comprising:

a pair of opposing substrates, at least one of said pair of opposing substrates being transparent;

a pair of electrodes formed on one of said par of opposing substrates;

said a pair of electrodes having V-shaped portion along its longitudinal direction;

means for enhance field intensity formed between the electrodes at the V-shaped portion.

22. The liquid crystal display device according to claim 21, wherein said a pair of electrodes have overlapping portion at the other portion other than the V-shaped portion.
