1. A method of producing a polypeptide which has chemokine-binding activity, the method comprising:

  • (a) causing expression from nucleic acid which encodes a polypeptide which is a chemokine-binding molecule in a suitable expression system to produce the polypeptide, wherein the polypeptide is a chemokine-binding molecule which comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 or consists of a portion of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 that is chemokine-binding, or which has an amino acid sequence which differs from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 but has at least 35% and preferably at least 70% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 and is chemokine-binding; and

    (b) testing the polypeptide for chemokine-binding activity or ability to inhibit chemokine activity.
