Abstract

The invention relates to a device for fastening and anchoring heart valve prostheses which is essentially formed of wire-shaped interconnected elements. According to the object such a device shall be able to be implanted through the aorta in a minimally invasive manner by folding up small enough, and deployed at the site of implantation, wherein a secure retention and a secure sealing with respect to the aorta wall are ensured. To solve this object, for fastening and anchoring a heart valve prosthesis three respective identical pairs of arched elements are interconnected by means of solid articulations in a respective configuration offset by 120° each. These solid articulations meet the function of pivot bearings.

Claims

1. A device for fastening and anchoring heart valve prostheses which is formed of wire-shaped elements, characterized in that

for fastening and supporting a heart valve prosthesis three pairs of arched elements (3, 4 or 5) each being identically are interconnected by means of solid articulations (7) in a configuration offset by 120°

each, and wherein said solid articulations (7) meet the function of pivot bearings.

2. A device according to claim 1, characterized in that

said two arched elements (3, 4) being oppositely bent to each other form rocker arms having the same length with respect to said solid articulations (7).

3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that

said heart valve prosthesis is secured to said first and/or second distal arched element (4, 5).

4. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that

said first und said second distal arched elements (4, 5) are partly bent into the same direction and pass in parallel to each other such that gaps are formed therebetween to introduce portions of said heart valve prosthesis.

5. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that

on said second distal arched element proximally pulled in portions (1) are present to which further arched elements (2) with solid articulations (6) are secured.

6. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that

said solid articulations (6) and (7) are arranged in a distance to each other.

7. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that

said proximal ends of said first arched element (4) or of said portion (1) of said second arched element (5) are connected with supporting ridges (8) aligned in parallel to the longitudinal axis which in combination with a saw tooth shaped, rhombic or meander shaped wire object form a deployable supporting body.

8. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that

tips (9) for anchoring inside the aorta wall are designed on the supporting body.

9. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that

all parts (1 to 9) are shaped of a form storage metal.
