First Claim
Patent Images
1. A method for evaluating a wireless system comprising the steps of:
- modeling a system under test on an application model builder;
developing application specific components to generate expected test results;
saving the expected test results on a test repository manager;
specifying simulation parameters;
generating a test input file on a simulator;
executing a test run of a plurality of test agents controlling wireless mobile user devices under a test controller to generate actual test results;
comparing actual test results to expected test results on a comparator; and
conducting a reliability assessment of the test results.

2. A system for evaluating wireless applications comprising:
-
a test console having a user interface for communicating with an application model builder, a test repository manager and a simulator, wherein the application model builder generates a model test profile that is saved in the test repository manager and is used by the simulator to generate a test input file;
a test controller that accepts the test input file and communicates with a plurality of test agents, wherein each test agent controls a wireless mobile user device and records and sends test log data to the test controller; and
a comparator that compares expected test result to actual test results and generates a test run result.
