Abstract

A scheduling method for loading and unloading the containers is developed and computerized for efficiently operating the loading and unloading cargo from the container ship to the assigned storage site or vice versa, and organizing the container storage system. A computer readable recording medium is also developed for recording the computer programs of the scheduling method for effectively performing the optimal loading and unloading process with the shortest time consuming. The recording medium contains a data acquiring step for establishing Yard Information Database, Container Database, Shipping Order Database, a Unloading Step including assigning an available quay location identifying unloading containers and assigning an available container storage site, Loading Step including identify the loading containers, location of storage site, cargo destination and ship quay location, and Data Storing Step for maintaining Bay Plan.

Claims

1. A scheduling method for loading and unloading containers at the terminal comprises steps of:

data acquiring step (S100) for establishing Yard Information Database by acquiring at least one of ship quay location data and container storage site data,

data acquiring step (S102) for establishing Container Database including container loading and unloading schedules and container inventory remained on the ship while loading and unloading container Database is setting up by inputting container loading and unloading schedule from outer source,

setting step (S104) for establishing shipping order Database according to input content information of loading containers from outer source,

unloading step (S200) for unloading cargo from a container ship by retrieving said Yard Information Database for assigning an available quay location when an input data of port entering is received from outer source, and said Container Database for identifying unloading containers and assigning an available container storage site,

loading step (S300) for loading cargo to a container ship by retrieving said Yard Information Database for identifying loading containers, location of storage site, cargo destination and ship quay location when an input data of shipping order is received from outer source, and

data storing step (S400) for maintaining Bay Plan including information of loaded or unloaded container list, location of storage site, cargo destinations and ship quay location based on the performance of previous unloading step (S200) and loading step (S300).

A scheduling method as claimed in claim 1 is including further information of container identification number, indicating destination for loading or unloading, ship sell position, gateway, initial loading port code, loading port code, unloading port code, selection of unloading port code, final unloading port code, final unloading destination port code and before and after altered unloading port information for the containers remained on the ship.

3. A computer readable recording medium recorded a computer programming of scheduling method for loading and unloading containers at a container terminal comprises that:

process for establishing Yard Information Database by acquiring at least one of ship quay location data and container storage site data,

process for establishing Container Database including container loading and unloading schedules and container inventory remained on the ship while loading and unloading container Database is setting up by inputting container loading and unloading schedule from outer source,

process for establishing shipping order Database according to input content information of loading containers from outer source,

process for unloading cargo from a container ship by retrieving said Yard Information Database for assigning an available quay location when an input data of port entering is received from outer source, and said Container Database for identifying unloading containers and assigning an available container storage site,

process for loading cargo to a container ship by retrieving said Yard Information Database for identifying loading containers, location of storage site, cargo destination and ship quay location when an input data of shipping order is received from outer source, and

process for maintaining Bay Plan including information of loaded or unloaded container list, location of storage site, cargo destinations and ship quay location based on the performance of previous unloading and loading processes.
