Abstract

A system and method of computerizing traditional companies with customized individual addressable electronic direct marketing, self-service automation, and customer care support. The system relates to a personal agent carried by a user and a network of companies, manufacturers, stores, doctors, pharmacists, financial institutions and others. In particular, a doctor can have a professional unit that communicates with a user'"'"'s personal unit including the transfer of drug prescriptions, medication information, etc. The personal agent can provide drug information to the user as well as a reminder to take the medication and an actual storage and dispensing of medication.

Claims

1. A system for personalized customer service comprising:

a medical professional interface unit in a medical facility;

a portable personal agent unit, said portable personal agent unit in communications with said medical professional interface unit;

said portable personal agent notifying said professional interface unit of a patient'"'"'s medical records when said patient enters said medical facility with said portable personal agent;

said medical professional interface unit receiving said notification of said medical records and retrieving said medical records.

2. The system for personalized customer service of claim 1 further comprising medical personnel entering new data into said medical professional unit concerning said patient during a medical visit, said portable personal agent being notified concerning said new data.

3. The system for personalized customer service of claim 2 wherein said new data concerns prescriptions for medication.

4. The system for personalized customer service of claim 3 wherein said portable personal agent reminds said patient to purchase and take said medication.

5. The system for personalized customer service of claim 3 wherein said personal agent dispenses said medication at correct times according to said prescriptions.

6. A system for personalized customer service comprising a medical professional interface in a medical facility and a personal agent unit carried by a patient, the personal agent notifying the professional interface when a patient enters a medical facility, the professional interface then accessing the patient'"'"'s medical records, the professional interface receiving diagnosis and treatment instructions from medical personal, the professional interface communicating the instructions to the personal agent, the personal agent alerting the patient to such information including reminders to purchase medications and reminders to take medications.

7. The system for personalized customer service of claim 6 further comprising the personal agent dispensing the medications to the patient according to the instructions.

8. A method for personalized customer service comprising the steps of:

a patient visiting a doctor, said patient having a personal agent unit, said doctor having a doctor professional business unit containing medical records, said personal agent and said doctor professional unit communicating medical information;

said patient receiving a prescription from said doctor said prescription being communicated to said personal agent;

said patient visiting a pharmacy, said prescription being communicated to said pharmacy;

said pharmacy filling said prescription with prescribed medication, said pharmacy providing information concerning said prescribed medication to said personal agent, and placing said medication in a pillbox means contained in said personal agent;

said pillbox means dispensing said prescribed medication on a schedule communicated by said pharmacy;

said personal agent providing said patient information on said prescribed medication.
