Abstract

Interactive wagering systems and methods with multiple television feeds are provided. A plurality of television feeds may be related to a race and race-related characteristics. A television feed may carry television feed information, which may provide sufficient information to allow a user to select an appropriate television feed for a wager or to allow the system to automatically select an appropriate feed for a wager. The interactive wagering application may also record a television feed so that the user may interact with the television feeds at any time. Wagering services may be also provided to a user through more than one wagering interface.

Claims

1. A method for allowing a user to view races using an interactive wagering application, the method comprising:

providing a first wagering interface;

providing a second wagering interface;

transmitting a communication that includes wager information from the first wagering interface to the second wagering interface; and

providing video signals from a television feed on the second wagering interface that corresponds to the wager information from the first wagering interface.

2. The method defined in claim 1, further comprising simultaneously displaying interactive wagering opportunities for the user on the second wagering interface, wherein the television feed and the interactive wagering opportunities are synchronized.

3. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the wager information comprises information selected from the group consisting of the race, a horse, a jockey, a horse number, a jockey color, a horse color, a horse name, a racetrack, a type of wager, a total amount of wager, and a time of the race.

4. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the first wagering interface is user computer equipment.

5. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the first wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

6. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the first wagering interface is user television equipment.

7. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the second wagering interface is user television equipment.

8. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the second wagering interface is user computer equipment.

9. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the second wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

10. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the television feed includes at least one camera view of the race.

11. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the television feed includes two camera views, wherein the two camera views are different camera views.

12. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the providing the television feed further comprises providing the user with an opportunity to select the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

13. The method defined in claim 12 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the method further comprising providing the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

14. The method defined in claim 12 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the method further comprising automatically selecting one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

15. The method defined in claim 1 wherein the providing the television feed further comprises automatically selecting the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

16. The method defined in claim 15 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the method further comprising providing the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

17. The method defined in claim 15 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the method further comprising automatically selecting one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

18. The method defined in claim 1 further comprising recording the television feed for the race.

19. The method defined in claim 1 further comprising providing the user with an opportunity to view the recorded television feed for the race.

20. The method defined in claim 1 further comprising providing the user with an opportunity to change to a different television feed.

21. An interactive wagering system for allowing a user to view races using an interactive wagering application, the system comprising:

a first wagering interface with which the interactive wagering application is implemented, where the first wagering interface is configured to;

transmitting a communication that includes wager information from the first wagering interface to a second wagering interface; and

the second wagering interface with which the interactive wagering application is implemented, where the second wagering interface is configured to;

provide video signals from a television feed on the second wagering interface that corresponds to the wager information from the first wagering interface.

22. The system defined in claim 21, wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to simultaneously display interactive wagering opportunities for the user on the second wagering interface, wherein the television feed and the interactive wagering opportunities are synchronized.

23. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the wager information comprises information selected from the group consisting of the race, a horse, a jockey, a horse number, a jockey color, a horse color, a horse name, a racetrack, a type of wager, a total amount of wager, and a time of the race.

24. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the first wagering interface is user computer equipment.

25. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the first wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

26. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the first wagering interface is user television equipment.

27. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is user television equipment.

28. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is user computer equipment.

29. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

30. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the television feed includes at least one camera view of the race.

31. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the television feed includes two camera views, wherein the two camera views are different camera views.

32. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to providing the user with an opportunity to select the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

33. The system defined in claim 32 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, and wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to provide the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

34. The system defined in claim 32 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, and wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to automatically select one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

35. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to automatically select the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

36. The system defined in claim 35 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to provide the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

37. The system defined in claim 35 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, and wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to automatically select one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

38. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to record the television feed for the race.

39. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to provide the user with an opportunity to view the recorded television feed for the race.

40. The system defined in claim 21 wherein the second wagering interface is further configured to provide the user with an opportunity to change to a different television feed.

41. A machine-readable medium for use in allowing a user of an interactive wagering system to view races, comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for:

providing the user with a first wagering interface;

providing the user with a second wagering interface;

transmitting a communication that includes wager information from the first wagering interface to the second wagering interface; and

providing video signals from a television feed on the second wagering interface that corresponds to the wager information from the first wagering interface.

The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41, further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for simultaneously displaying interactive wagering opportunities for the user on the second wagering interface, wherein the television feed and the interactive wagering opportunities are synchronized.

43. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the wager information comprises information selected from the group consisting of the race, a horse, a jockey, a horse number, a jockey color, a horse color, a horse name, a racetrack, a type of wager, a total amount of wager, and a time of the race.

44. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the first wagering interface is user computer equipment.

45. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the first wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

46. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the first wagering interface is user television equipment.

47. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the second wagering interface is user television equipment.

48. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the second wagering interface is user computer equipment.

49. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the second wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

50. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the television feed includes at least one camera view of the race.

51. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 wherein the television feed includes two camera views, wherein the two camera views are different camera views.

52. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for providing the user with an opportunity to select the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

53. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 52 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the machine-readable medium further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for providing the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

54. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 52 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the machine-readable medium further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for automatically selecting one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

55. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for automatically selecting the television feed from a plurality of television feeds

The machine-readable medium defined in claim 55 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the machine-readable medium further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for providing the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

57. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 55 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the machine-readable medium further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for automatically selecting one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

58. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for recording the television feed for the race.

59. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for providing the user with an opportunity to view the recorded television feed for the race.

60. The machine-readable medium defined in claim 41 further comprising machine program logic recorded thereon for providing the user with an opportunity to change to a different television feed.

61. An interactive wagering system for allowing a user to view races using an interactive wagering application, the system comprising:

means for providing a first wagering interface;

means for providing a second wagering interface;

means for transmitting a communication that includes wager information from the first wagering interface to the second wagering interface; and

means for providing video signals from a television feed on the second wagering interface that corresponds to the wager information from the first wagering interface.

62. The system defined in claim 61, further comprising means for simultaneously displaying interactive wagering opportunities for the user on the second wagering interface, wherein the television feed and the interactive wagering opportunities are synchronized.

63. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the wager information comprises information selected from the group consisting of the race, a horse, a jockey, a horse number, a jockey color, a horse color, a horse name, a racetrack, a type of wager, a total amount of wager, and a time of the race.

64. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the first wagering interface is user computer equipment.

65. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the first wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

66. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the first wagering interface is user television equipment.

67. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the second wagering interface is user television equipment.

68. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the second wagering interface is user computer equipment.

69. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the second wagering interface is user telephone equipment.

70. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the television feed includes at least one camera view of the race.

71. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the television feed includes two camera views, wherein the two camera views are different camera views.

72. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the providing the television feed further comprises means for providing the user with an opportunity to select the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

73. The system defined in claim 72 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the system further comprising means for providing the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

74. The system defined in claim 72 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the system further comprising means for automatically selecting one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

75. The system defined in claim 61 wherein the means for providing the television feed further comprises means for automatically selecting the television feed from a plurality of television feeds.

76. The system defined in claim 75 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the system further comprising means for providing the user with an opportunity to select to view one of the camera views.

77. The system defined in claim 75 wherein the plurality of television feeds includes at least one camera view of the race and where at least two of the camera views are different camera views, the system further comprising means for automatically selecting one of the camera views for the race based at least in part on the wager information.

78. The system defined in claim 61 further comprising means for recording the television feed for the race.

79. The system defined in claim 61 further comprising means for providing the user with an opportunity to view the recorded television feed for the race.

80. The system defined in claim 61 further comprising means for providing the user with an opportunity to change to a different television feed.
