Abstract

A dedicated portable computer sales presentation system for efficiently making a multimedia sales presentation at the location of a customer. The dedicated portable computer sales presentation system includes installing the required sales presentation files upon a hard drive of the portable computer system, blocking access to the Internet from the portable computer system and removing a media player from the portable computer system to allow the portable computer system to only be utilized for making a multimedia sales presentation to the customer. When the sales agent meets with a customer, the agent calls the company and answers a series of introduction questions relating to the customer and the call is terminated with the company recording the end time of the call as the start time of the sales presentation. The multimedia sales presentation (which may include a virtual tour run from the hard drive) is made upon the portable computer system and if a sale is made the necessary contract is printed for the customer to sign. The sales agent then shuts down the portable computer system and then calls the company to answer closing questions where after the call is terminated with the company recording the start time of the call as the end time of the sales presentation.

Claims

1. A method of making a multimedia sales presentation utilizing a dedicated portable computer, said method comprising the steps of:

(a) meeting with a customer by a sales agent;

(b) calling a company for a first conversation;

(c) answering a series of introduction questions;

(d) terminating said first conversation with said company;

(e) presenting said multimedia sales presentation upon said dedicated portable computer;

(f) shutting down said dedicated portable computer;

(g) calling said company for a second conversation;

(h) answering a series of closing questions; and

(i) terminating said second conversation with said company.

2. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said introduction questions relate to said customer.

3. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said closing questions relate to said customer.

4. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said company records the answers to said introduction questions within a database.

5. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said company records the answers to said closing questions within a database.

6. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said company records an ending time of said first conversation with a database as a presentation start time.

7. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said company records a beginning time of said second conversation with a database as a presentation end time.

8. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said multimedia sales presentation is comprised of audio and video.

9. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 1, wherein said first conversation and said second conversation are made to a toll-free telephone number.

10. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 9, wherein presentation time data is verified utilizing the phone records from said toll-free telephone number.

11. A method of making a multimedia sales presentation utilizing a dedicated portable computer, said method comprising the steps of:

(a) meeting with a customer by a sales agent;

(b) calling a company for a first conversation;

(c) answering a series of introduction questions;

(d) terminating said first conversation with said company;

(e) presenting said multimedia sales presentation upon said dedicated portable computer;

(f) loading a contract upon said dedicated portable computer;

(g) editing said contract;

(h) printing said contract;

(i) shutting down said dedicated portable computer;

(j) calling said company for a second conversation;

(k) answering a series of closing questions; and

(l) terminating said second conversation with said company.

12. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said introduction questions relate to said customer.

13. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said closing questions relate to said customer.

14. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said company records the answers to said introduction questions within a database.

15. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said company records the answers to said closing questions within a database.

16. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said company records an ending time of said first conversation with a database as a presentation start time.

17. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said company records a beginning time of said second conversation with a database as a presentation end time.

18. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said multimedia sales presentation is comprised of audio and video.

19. The method of making a multimedia sales presentation of claim 11, wherein said first conversation and said second conversation are made to a toll-free telephone number.

20. A method of producing a dedicated sales presentation notebook computer, comprising the steps of:

(a) removing a battery from a portable computer;

(b) copying required files to a hard drive of said portable computer required to make a multimedia sales presentation;

(c) uninstall unnecessary programs from said portable computer;

(d) remove shortcuts to uninstallable unnecessary programs and OS features from said portable computer;

(e) block access to a global computer network; and

(f) disabling all media players except said hard drive.
