Method of managing operation of computer system
First Claim
1. A method of managing the operation of a computer system in a network system which includes a plurality of management object computers, said method comprising the steps of:
- supervising, by a supervisory manager computer, a work dividedly executed by a plurality of said management object computers by using event information collected according to identification (ID) information regarding said work, said event information representing various events occurring during execution of a divided work in each of said management object computers;
managing said event information by adding said ID information for discriminating said work from which said divided work was divided;
storing event information in a database supervised by each management objective computer;
selecting specific event information from said event information stored in said database supervised by said each management objective computer according to contents of said event information;
storing said selected event information in a database supervised by said supervisory manager computer; and
displaying said selected event information on a screen of said supervisory manager computer to permit an operator of said supervisory manager computer to manage execution of said application, wherein said managing of event and ID information eliminates a need for examining in advance said computers executing said work.

Abstract
Object matters handled by each program constituting a work are assorted and classified into a system, and an ID information for discriminating the work is added to a definition information relating to the execution of the work and to an information representing the events which occur with the execution of the work, in order to achieve a unitary management. A priority is assigned to each event occurring with the execution of the work, and whether the information representing the event is to be transferred or stored is decided so as to accomplish the objectives described above.
