Abstract

Nucleic acids originating in a gene which is expressed in human neuroblastoma, characterized by showing enhanced expression in benign human neuroblastoma compared with in acritical human neuroblastoma and having a sequence selected from among the group consisting of the nucleic acid sequences represented by SEQ ID NOS: 1 to 104 in Sequence Listing; nucleic acids complementary with the above nucleic acids; fragments of these nucleic acids; use thereof as a probe or a primer; and diagnosis of the prognosis of human neuroblastoma with the use of any of the same.

Claims

1. A nucleic acid derived from a gene expressed in human neuroblastoma, the nucleic acid comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of the nucleic acid sequences set forth in SEQ ID NO:

1 to NO;

104 in the Sequence Listing, or a complementary nucleic acid thereof.

2. The nucleic acid according to claim 1, characterized in that the nucleic acid is DNA.

5. A fragment of the nucleic acid according to any one of claims 1 to 4.

6. An isolated nucleic acid which can hybridize to the nucleic acid according to any one of claims 1 to 4 under stringent conditions.

7. The isolated nucleic acid according to claim 6, characterized in that the nucleic acid is DNA.

8. A PCR primer comprising the nucleic acid according to claim 7.

10. A diagnosis kit for the prognosis of human neuroblastoma, containing a pair of PCR primers according to claim 8.

3. A nucleic acid derived from a gene whose expression is enhanced in human neuroblastoma with favorable prognosis based on comparison between human neuroblastoma with favorable prognosis and human neuroblastoma with unfavorable prognosis, the nucleic acid comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of the nucleic acid sequences set forth in SEQ ID NO:

1 to NO;

104 in the Sequence Listing, or a complementary nucleic acid thereof.

4. The nucleic acid according to claim 3, characterized in that the nucleic acid is DNA.

9. A method of diagnosing the prognosis of human neuroblastoma, the method comprising detecting the nucleic acid according to claim 3 from clinical tissue of human neuroblastoma.
