1. An apparatus for non-invasively measuring blood pressure of a radial artery, the apparatus comprising:

  • a sensor including a surface to contact skin over the radial artery, the sensor sensing waveform pressure data of the radial artery;

    a wrist mount which extends to an opposite side of the wrist from the radial artery;

    a hold down assembly that applies a variable pressure to the radial artery; and

    a monitor interconnected with the sensor to derive systolic, diastolic or mean blood pressure based upon the sensed waveform data.
