- a processing unit automatically implementing a cardiac treatment algorithm, by using detected signals from a patient and the cardiac treatment algorithm, to output a recommended treatment on an output device; and
an input device inputting a selection comprising an acceptance or a rejection of the recommended treatment, wherein if the selection comprises an acceptance, then the processing unit outputs instructions and further implements the treatment algorithm using the recommended treatment, wherein if the selection comprises a rejection, then the processing unit outputs an alternative recommended treatment on the output device, subject to acceptance or rejection via the input device.
