Abstract

The data sending and receiving controller (104) of sender'"'"'s communication device (100) sends data with its mode information such as graphic resolution to receiver'"'"'s communication device (200). The operator at receiver'"'"'s communication device occasionally requests for re-sending once received data according to the mode information received with the data when the receiver is not satisfied with the data because its resolution is too low etc. The sender'"'"'s communication device (100) analyzes the content of request and re-sends data with the mode corresponding to the content of request when it is sent from the receiver'"'"'s communication device (200).

Claims

1. A communication device comprising a data container to contain data to be sent,

an appending information holding section to hold appending information corresponding to the data to be sent and

a data sending and receiving controller to send the data with the appended information and to re-send the data which is necessary to be sent again, taking out of the data container, when the data re-sending request based on the appended information is received from the other communication device.

2. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data re-sending request sent from the other communication device include data form information which indicate data form at re-sending and

the data sending and receiving controller transforms the data form of the data in the data container according to the data form information, so as to re-send it.

3. A communication device according to claim 2 wherein the data form of the data to be re-sent is different from the data form of the data previously sent.

4. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data re-sending request include page assigning information of the data to re-send and

the data sending and receiving controller takes out the assigned page of the data according to the page assigning information.

5. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data sending and receiving controller starts re-sending as the communication line is kept connecting when the re-sending is requested by the other communication device.

6. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data sending and receiving controller temporarily disconnects the communication line after memorizing the re-sending request information when the re-sending is requested by the other communication device, so as to start re-sending later.

7. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data contained in the data container is the data read by a scanner.

8. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data contained in the data container is the data sent from a host device.

9. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data contained in the data container has valid period and

the appended information include valid period information,

so as to delete the data which valid period is expired.

10. A communication device according to claim 9 wherein an error is informed to the other communication device when the deleted data is requested to re-send from the other communication device.

11. A communication device according to claim 9 wherein the valid period is varied according to the importance of the data.

12. A communication device according to claim 9 wherein the valid period is varied according to the quantity of the data.

13. A communication device according to claim 9 wherein the valid period is varied according to the quantity of vacant memory capacity in the device.

14. A communication device according to claim 1 wherein the data sending and receiving controller deletes the data which was re-sent to the other communication device from the data container.

15. A communication device comprising

a data receiving controller to receive data and appended information corresponding to the data from the other communication device and

a re-send request indicator to indicate the request based on the appended information to the other communication device to re-send the data which was once received.

16. A communication device according to claim 15 wherein the data form of the data to be re-sent is different from the data form of the data once received.

17. A communication device according to claim 15 wherein the re-sending request includes a page assigning information to assign page to be re-sent.

18. A communication device according to claim 15 wherein the appended information sent from the other communication device is printed by a printing device.

19. A communication device according to claim 15 wherein the appended information sent from the other communication device is put out at a display.
