Abstract
Apparatus for controlling a suction-type pool cleaner, which is not connected to an external power supply by electrical conductors, employs an electrical generator powered by water flow through the cleaner. The output of the generator is used, under the control of a computer, optionally in response to sensors, to actuate a motor or a valve to influence the movement path of the cleaner through the water.
