Abstract

The invention relates to a method for call diversion in a telecommunication network, comprising, a data network (1), a voice network (2), for the transmission of speech, a network server (7), for the speech network (2) and a management server (6), for the data network (1). According to the invention, the management server is interrogated about the state of a call from the user terminal (8) to the data network (1) and where an error in said call occurs a call transfer to a stored address is carried out by the network server (7).

Claims

1. A process to redirect calls in a telecommunications network that encompasses a data network (1) to which a subscriber only has access if a terminal device (8) of the subscriber has signed on (logs in) to this data network (1), and a voice network (2) connected to it, which is a telecommunications network suitable for voice transmission to which the subscriber has access through the data network (1), wherein the telecommunications network has a switching server (7) that provides call redirects to other locations in the telecommunications network and has an administration server (6) that serves to administer and control the user services and the network capacities in the data network (1), wherein an address for a call redirect is saved in the switching server (7) or the administration server (6), with the following process steps:

a.) determine that a call has come in for the subscriber through the switching server (7),

b.) transmit the subscriber address to the administration server (6),

c.) check to see, with the aid of the administration server (6), whether a terminal device (8) is signed on (logged in) to this subscriber address.

d.) transmit the results of the check from the administration server (6) to the switching server (7) and

e.) redirect the call to the prescribed address through the switching server (7) if the administration server transmits the result “

not signed on.”

2. A process of redirecting calls in a telecommunications network according to claim 1, characterized in that

the data network (1) is a network with packet switching.

3. A process to redirect calls in a telecommunications network according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that

the address for the call redirect is transmitted from the administration server to the switching server (7) together with the result of the check, or is read out from a storage space on the switching server.

4. A process to redirect calls in a telecommunications network according to one of claims 1 through 3, characterized in that

the switching server (7) does not execute a call redirect if a maximum number of call redirects to be performed in series is exceeded.

5. Use of the process to redirect calls according to one of the previous claims in a Local Area Network (LAN) as a data network (1).

6. Use of the process to redirect calls according to one of the previous claims in the Internet (3) as a data network (1).

A telecommunications network to execute the process according to one of claims 1 through 6, which contains a data network (1) to which a subscriber only has access if a terminal device (8) of the subscriber is signed on (logged in) to it, and a voice network (2), which is a telecommunications network suitable for voice transmission to which the subscriber has access through the data network (1), with a switching server (7) of the voice network (2) that provides call redirects to other locations in the telecommunications network and with an administration server (6) that serves to administer and control the user services and the network capacities in the data network (1), wherein at least one address for a call redirect is saved in the switching server (7) or the administration server (6) for the subscriber, characterized in that

the switching server (7) has the ability to query the administration server (6) when the subscriber is called from the voice network (2) to see if the subscriber'"'"'s terminal device (8) is signed on to the data network (1), and that the switching server (7) can execute a call redirect to the stored address in case there is no such sign-on [to the network].

8. A telecommunications network according to claim 7, characterized in that

the data network (1) is a network with packet switching.

9. A telecommunications network according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that

the address for a call redirect is stored in the administration server (6) of the data network (1) and that the administration server (6) can transmit the address with the result of a query to the switching server (7).

10. A telecommunications network according to one of claims 7 to 9, characterized in that

the switching server (7) stores a maximum number of call redirects to be carried out in series.

11. A telecommunications network according to one of the previous claims,

characterized in that the data network (1), which is designed as a packet network, is the Internet (3) and the administration server (6) is a gatekeeper (6).

12. A telecommunications network according to one of claims 7 through 11, characterized in that

the telecommunications network, which is designed as a packet network, is a Local Area Network (LAN) and the administration server (6) is a gatekeeper.
