Abstract

Input form information associated with an input form is stored in a form name holding unit. Input speech is recognized by a speech recognition unit, and input form information corresponding to that speech recognition result is selected. The display pattern of an input form corresponding to the selected input form information is controlled by a GUI display unit.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

storage means for storing input form information associated with the input form;

speech recognition means for recognizing the input speech; and

selection means for selecting input form information corresponding to a speech recognition result of said speech recognition means.

2. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

display control means for controlling a display pattern of an input form corresponding to the input form information selected by said selection means.

3. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the input form information includes an input form name of the input form.

4. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the input form information includes layout information indicating a position of the input form.

5. The apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said display control means displays the input form corresponding to the input form information selected by said selection means in a second display pattern which is different from a first display pattern of other input forms.

6. The apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said display control means displays the input form corresponding to the input form information selected by said selection means at the center on the display screen.

7. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

informing means for, when selection by said selection means is settled, informing that message.

8. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the input form information includes an input form name of the input form, and layout information indicating a position of the input form,

said apparatus further comprises determination means for determining if the speech recognition result of said speech recognition means corresponds to the input form name or the layout information, and

said selection means selects input form information corresponding to the speech recognition result of said speech recognition means on the basis of a determining result of said determination means.

9. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the input form information includes layout information indicating a position of the input form, and

said speech recognition means recognizes the input speech using speech recognition grammar data used to recognize speech for specifying the layout information.

The apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the speech recognition grammar data includes data used to recognize at least one of a relative position expression indicating a relative position of the input form, and an absolute position expression indicating an absolute position of the input form.

11. The apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the speech recognition grammar data includes data used to recognize if the absolute position expression corresponds to overall contents including the input form or a display range on the display screen.

12. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when the input form is implemented by a hypertext document, the input form information includes a tag indicating the input form.

13. The apparatus according to claim 12, wherein the hypertext document describes a tag used to execute speech recognition by said speech recognition means.

14. An information processing method for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

a speech recognition step of recognizing the input speech; and

a selection step of selecting input form information associated with the input form, which corresponds to a speech recognition result of the speech recognition step.

15. The method according to claim 14, further comprising:

a display control step of controlling a display pattern of an input form corresponding to the input form information selected in the selection step.

16. The method according to claim 14, wherein the input form information includes an input form name of the input form.

17. The method according to claim 14, wherein the input form information includes layout information indicating a position of the input form.

18. The method according to claim 15, wherein the display control step includes the step of displaying the input form corresponding to the input form information selected in the selection step in a second display pattern which is different from a first display pattern of other input forms.

19. The method according to claim 15, wherein the display control step includes the step of displaying the input form corresponding to the input form information selected in the selection step at the center on the display screen.

20. The method according to claim 14, further comprising:

a informing step of informing, when selection in the selection step is settled, that message.

21. The method according to claim 14, wherein the input form information includes an input form name of the input form, and layout information indicating a position of the input form,

the method further comprises the determining step of determining if the speech recognition result of the speech recognition step corresponds to the input form name or the layout information, and

a selection step includes the step of selecting input form information corresponding to the speech recognition result of the speech recognition step on the basis of a determining result in the determining step.

22. The method according to claim 14, wherein the input form information includes layout information indicating a position of the input form, and

the speech recognition step includes the step of recognizing the input speech using speech recognition grammar data used to recognize speech for specifying the layout information.

23. The method according to claim 22, wherein the speech recognition grammar data includes data used to recognize at least one of a relative position expression indicating a relative position of the input form, and an absolute position expression indicating an absolute position of the input form.

24. The method according to claim 22, wherein the speech recognition grammar data includes data used to recognize if the absolute position expression corresponds to overall contents including the input form or a display range on the display screen.

25. The method according to claim 14, wherein when the input form is implemented by a hypertext document, the input form information includes a tag indicating the input form.

26. The method according to claim 25, wherein the hypertext document describes a tag used to execute speech recognition in the speech recognition step.

27. A program for making a computer function as an information process for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

a program code of a speech recognition step of recognizing the input speech; and

a program code of a selection step of selecting input form information associated with the input form, which corresponds to a speech recognition result of the speech recognition step.

28. An information processing apparatus for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

a storage unit for storing input form information associated with the input form;

a speech recognition unit for recognizing the input speech; and

a selection unit for selecting input form information corresponding to a speech recognition result of said speech recognition unit.

29. An information processing apparatus for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

speech recognition means for recognizing the input speech;

determination means for determining whether or not the speech recognition result is selection of an input form;

selection means for selecting an input form corresponding to the speech recognition result when said determination means determined that the speech recognition result is selection of an input form; and

display means for displaying the speech recognition result to a selected input form when said determination means determined that the speech result is not selection of an input form.

30. An information processing method for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

a speech recognition step of recognizing the input speech;

a determining step of determining whether or not the speech recognition result is selection of an input form;

a selection step of selecting an input form corresponding to the speech recognition result when said determining step determined that the speech recognition result is selection of an input form; and

a display step of displaying the speech recognition result to a selected input form when said determining step determined that the speech result is not selection of an input form.

31. A program for making a computer function as an information process for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

a program code of a speech recognition step of recognizing the input speech;

a program code of a determining step of determining whether or not the speech recognition result is selection of an input form;

a program code of a selection step of selecting an input form corresponding to the speech recognition result when said determining step determined that the speech recognition result is selection of an input form; and

a program code of a display step of displaying the speech recognition result to a selected input form when said determining step determined that the speech result is not selection of an input form.

32. An information processing apparatus for executing a process with respect to an input form displayed on a display screen on the basis of input speech, comprising:

a speech recognition unit for recognizing the input speech;

a determination unit for determining whether or not the speech recognition result is selection of an input form;

a selection unit for selecting an input form corresponding to the speech recognition result when said determination means determined that the speech recognition result is selection of an input form; and

a display unit for displaying the speech recognition result to a selected input form when said determination means determined that the speech result is not selection of an input form.
