Method for matching a motor vehicle wheel valve indentifier with an identifier or said wheel
First Claim
1. Method of matching an identifier of an emitting valve (6) of a wheel (5) with an identifier of said wheel (5) registered in a memory of an onboard computer (2) of a motor vehicle, said valve (6) being capable of emitting, in response to a specific excitation, a specific field of radio signals containing at least one valve identifier and one specific state, an onboard receiver (3) receiving said field, transmitting it to said onboard computer (2) and the said onboard computer (2) decoding said field, comprising the following stages:
- specific excitation of the said valve (6), reception of the said specific field emitted in response to said excitation, decoding of said specific field, analysis of at least the “
valve identifier” and
“
state”
data contained in said specific field and recognition of the identifier of said valve (6), presentation to an operator (7) of at least the “
valve identifier”
data contained in said specific field, a means of distinction rendering said data distinguishable, matching of the identifier of said wheel (5) with the identifier of said valve (6) by said operator (7), input in said memory of the identifier of said valve (6) matching the identifier of said wheel (5), characterized in that said presentation is made by means of a diagnostic tool (1), the said diagnostic tool (1) receiving at least the “
valve identifier” and
“
state”
data by means of said onboard receiver (3),

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for matching an emitting valve identifier (6) with that of a wheel (5) in the memory element of an on-board vehicle computer (2), comprising the following steps: specific excitation of the valve (6) and reception of a specific frame sent in response; decoding and analysis of the frame and recognition of the valve identifier (6); presentation of said identifier to an operator (7); matching of wheel (5) and valve (6) identifiers and inputting of said identifiers into the memory element. Said method is characterised in that said presentation is performed using a diagnostic tool (1), said diagnostic tool (1) receiving at least the valve identifier and status data by means of the on-board receiver (3).
