Abstract

The invention relates to an arrangement (1) which comprises a base station (3), an adapter (4) and a mobile telephone (5) which are connected to one another. The adapter (4) is provided for matching the electrical information which can be interchanged between the base station (3) and the mobile telephone (5).

Claims

1. An arrangement (1), comprising a base station (3), an adapter (4) and a mobile telephone (5) which are connected to one another, characterized in that the adapter (4) carries out information matching between a universal base station (3) and an interchangeable mobile telephone (5), with each mobile telephone (5) being provided with an adapter (4) which is matched to it and which carries out not only the electrical matching but also the protocol matching between the mobile telephone and the base station, and vice versa.

2. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the base station (3) has an apparatus and/or software (22) for processing speech signals, such as echo cancellation (22a) and/or noise suppression (22b) and/or signal amplification (22c).

3. The arrangement as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base station (3) has an interface (9) to the adapter (4), and the interface (9) is connected to a controller (23) for the network in the vehicle and/or to a controller (24) for the mobile telephone.

4. The arrangement as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adapter (4) has an apparatus and/or software (15) for matching the level of the speech signals to the base station (3).

The arrangement as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adapter (4) has an interface (8) to the base station (3), and the interface has an apparatus and/or software (14) which operates as a protocol module (17) for a network in a vehicle and as a protocol module (18) for the mobile telephone (5), and has an initialization routine (16) for matching to the databus for the mobile telephone (5).

6. The arrangement as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adapter (4) has a charger (20) for an energy source for the mobile radio telephone (5).

The arrangement as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the connection between preferably parts of the interface (9) of the base station (3) and preferably parts of the interface (8) of the adapter (4) is provided by a cable and/or a radio link, such as infrared or Bluetooth.

The arrangement comprising a base station and a mobile telephone in particular as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the base station (3) and/or an adapter unit (4) which is connected between the base station (3) and the mobile telephone (5) has a replaceable memory medium (41) which can be used for storing user-specific functions such as hands-free operation and/or connection to the vehicle bus and/or noise cancellation and/or echo cancellation and/or speech recognition and/or text conversion to speech and/or speech conversion to text.

The arrangement as claimed in claim 8, characterized in that the memory medium (41) provides user-specific functions which are available in the mobile telephone (5), such as speech recognition and/or noise cancellation and/or echo cancellation for operation of the mobile telephone in the vehicle.

10. The arrangement as claimed in one of claims 8 or 9, characterized in that the memory medium (41) is in the form of a removable and/or rewritable memory medium (41), such as a memory board or plug-in module (42).

11. The arrangement as claimed in one of claims 8, 9 or 10, characterized in that the memory medium (41) is rewritable via a radio link.

The arrangement as claimed in one of claims 8, 9, 10 or 11, characterized in that the memory medium (41) holds supplementary data for user-specific functions for the mobile telephone (5) and/or for the base station (3) and/or for the adapter unit (4), in particular an extended dictionary for text conversion to speech and/or speech conversion to text.
