Abstract

A new capability for managing complex cross-connects: instead of flipping through multiple windows to find the desired link, the operator can simply specify the endpoints. The system will then find the connect which links these endpoints, and bring it to the top (or make it visible).

Claims

1. A computer/software system for managing telecommunication network cross-connects, comprising:

an operator interface which graphically displays cross-connects for a selected network element;

said operator interface including a display management feature

which permits the operator to request display of cross-connect between any two specified points, and

which, in response thereto, makes such a cross-connect visible in the operator'"'"'s display; and

one or more operator-driven processes which permit an operator to selectably view, modify, and delete portions of said cross-connect.
