Abstract

In an arrangement for projecting a multi-color image onto a projection surface (10), said arrangement comprising at least two image-generating elements (5, 6, 7) which are controllable using a control unit (8) and which enable generation of one partial color image each of the multi-color image, and a color combiner (4) arranged following the image-generating elements (5, 6, 7), wherein the light for the corresponding partial color image coming from the image-generating elements (5, 6, 7) is guided, in one partial beam path each, to the color combiner (4), which superimposes the light guided in the partial beam paths and emits it as a common beam, said arrangement further comprising projection optics (9) arranged following the color combiner (4), on which projection optics (9) the common beam impinges and which project the multi-color image onto the projection surface (10), and the image scales given by said arrangement being different for two or more partial color images, one optical device (18) each is arranged in one or more of the partial beam paths of the partial color images whose image scales differ and each of said optical devices (18) is configured such that, due to the change in the image scale of the corresponding partial color image effected by it, the image scale of said partial color image corresponds to a predetermined, common image scale.

Claims

1. An arrangement for projecting a multi-color image onto a projection surface (10), said arrangement comprising at least two image-generating elements (5, 6, 7) which are controllable using a control unit (8) and which enable generation of one partial color image each of the multi-color image, and a color combiner (4) arranged following the image-generating elements (5, 6, 7), wherein the light for the corresponding partial color image coming from the image-generating elements (5, 6, 7) is guided, in one partial beam path each, to the color combiner (4), which superimposes the light guided in the partial beam paths and emits it as a common beam, said arrangement further comprising projection optics (9) arranged following the color combiner (4), on which projection optics (9) the common beam impinges and which project the multi-color image onto the projection surface (10), and the image scales given by said arrangement being different for two or more partial color images, characterized in that one optical device (18) each is arranged in one or more of the partial beam paths of the partial color images whose image scales differ and each of said optical devices (18) is configured such that, due to the change in the image scale of the corresponding partial color image effected by it, the image scale of said partial color image corresponds to a predetermined, common image scale.

2. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the optical device (18) generates a virtual intermediate image (21) of the generated partial color image.

3. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the optical device (18) comprises at least one lens.

4. The arrangement as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that said lens is piano-concave.

5. The arrangement as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the optical device comprises a material interface (105) of the color combiner (4) arranged preceding the superimposition in the light propagation direction, said material interface (105) being curved.

The arrangement as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that three image-generating elements (5, 6, 7) for the colors green, red and blue are provided, wherein the image scales of two of the partial color images are adapted to each other by the projection optics (9), and the optical device (18) is arranged in the partial beam path of the image-generating element (5) for the third partial color image.

7. The arrangement as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the image-generating elements (5, 6, 7) are provided in the form of LCD modules.
