1. A video signal processor comprising:
- a memory for storing a video signal input from the outside of an apparatus;
a selector for selecting a previously picked-up video signal output from the memory and a presently picked-up video signal input from the outside of the apparatus;
a display unit for converting the previously picked-up video signal or the presently picked-up video signal selected by the selector into an image and displaying the image; and
a controller for controlling an operation of writing the presently picked-up video signal on the memory, an operation of reading the previously picked-up video signal from the memory and the operation of the selector selecting the previously picked-up video signal or the presently picked-up video signal.

Abstract
A previously picked-up video signal stored in a memory (51) and a presently picked-up video signal output from a photoelectric converter (10) are switched by a change-over switch (140), while being continuously displayed on a monitor display (150). By doing so, a shooter can determine whether he/she admits the presently picked-up video signal. Even an inexperienced shooter can easily carry out the shooting and recording operation for each frame with high accuracy for an improved working efficiency.
