Abstract

Described is a high-frequency connecting device comprising a first connecting element (101a) and a second connecting element (101b) which in the connecting position are in electrical contact without engaging into each other, forming a coaxial connection. The first connecting element (101a) and the second connecting element (101b) each have a respective plurality of separate outer conductors (102a and 102b) which are arranged at a spacing relative to each other and which are respectively arranged at a spacing around an inner conductor (103a and 103b). In the electrical connecting position the mutually facing contact ends of the outer conductors (102a, 102b) are in touching contact. At the same time the mutually facing contact ends of the inner conductors (103a and 103b) are in touching contact. The outer conductors (102b) and the inner conductor (103b) of the second connecting element are in the form of resilient contact pins while the outer conductors (102a) and the inner conductor (103a) of the first connecting element are in the form of non-resilient fixed contact pins and lie with their contact ends in a common contact plane.

Claims

1. A mobile telephone device for the operation of mobile telephones in motor vehicles, for example private automobiles, buses and trucks and other utility vehicles, preferably a hands-free device, comprising a mounting device which can be installed in the motor vehicle with a base member which can be stationarily mounted in the motor vehicle and which can be mounted preferably to the instrument panel or to the central console or to the armrest or in or to the glove compartment or in or to a door, preferably the inside of a vehicle door, and a holding means, preferably a holding cradle, for temporarily receiving a mobile telephone,

wherein an electrical connecting device is provided between the mobile telephone and the holding means for temporarily receiving the mobile telephone and/or between the holding means for receiving the mobile telephone and the base member which can be stationarily mounted in the motor vehicle, for making the electrical connection,

characterised in that

the electrical connecting device (101, 111) has a first connecting element (101a, 111a) and a second connecting element (101b, 111b), wherein each of the connecting elements has a dielectric body in which a plurality of pin-shaped separate conductors (102a, 103a, 102b, 103b) which are disposed in parallel and mutually spaced relationship are arranged, wherein in a connecting position the first connecting element (101a, 111a) and the second connecting element (101b, 111b) co-operate forming an electrical connection in that the conductors (102a, 103a) of the first connecting element (101a, 111a) are in touching contact with the conductors (102b, 103b) of the second connecting element (101b, 111b) in mutually aligned relationship at their mutually facing ends.

2. A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 1 characterised in that the connecting device is part of a high-frequency line.

3. A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the first connecting element and the second connecting element each have an inner conductor and a coaxial outer conductor means forming shielding with an interposed dielectric.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 3 characterised in that the first connecting element and the second connecting element cooperate with each other in a connecting position, forming a coaxial electrical connection, by the inner conductor of the first connecting element being electrically connected to the inner conductor of the second connecting element and the outer conductor means of the first connecting element being electrically connected to the outer conductor means of the second connecting element.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the outer conductor means (102a) of the first connecting element (101a) and the outer conductor means (102b) of the second connecting element (101b) each have a plurality of separate outer conductors (102a, 102b).

6. A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 5 characterised in that the separate outer conductors (102a, 102b) are arranged at a mutual spacing and parallel to each other and in that case are each arranged at a spacing relative to the inner conductor (103a, 103b) and parallel thereto.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 6 characterised in that each outer conductor (102a) of the first connecting element (101a) is associated with a respective outer conductor (102b) of the second connecting element (101b) and the mutually associated outer conductors (102a, 102b) in the connecting position are respectively arranged in mutually aligned relationship and co-operate with their facing ends.

8. A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the conductors (102a, 103a;

102b, 103b) are arranged in a plurality of parallel rows, wherein it is preferably provided that each row has at least three conductors and that there are at least two and preferably three parallel rows.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the connecting device (101) is in the form of an HF-connecting device in that in the first connecting element (101a) and in the second connecting element (101b) at least a respective one of the conductors is in the form of an inner conductor (103a, 103b) and a plurality of conductors (102a, 102b) which are arranged around said inner conductors (103a, 103b) are in the form of outer conductors which form a coaxial shielding, wherein in the connecting position the inner conductors (103a, 103b) and the outer conductors (102a, 102b) of the two connecting elements (101a, 101b) are respectively arranged in mutually aligned relationship and bear in touching contact against each other with their mutually facing ends.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the ends, which face towards each other in the connecting position, of the inner conductors (103a, 103b) and the outer conductors (102a, 102b) and preferably in each case exclusively the axially outermost region of the ends, are in the form of contact ends which are in mutually touching butting relationship in the connecting position.

11. A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the mutually touching contact ends are so designed that

a) in the connecting position they touch each other, preferably exclusively in a common contact surface which extends substantially perpendicularly or at an angle to the axial extent of the outer conductors (102a, 103a) and inner conductors (103a, 103b), and/or

b) in the connecting position they touch each other, preferably exclusively in a common contact point or in a common contact line, wherein in this case also at least one of the two touching contact ends has a contact surface which extends substantially perpendicularly or at an angle to the axial extent of the outer conductors (102a, 102b) and the inner conductors (103a, 103b).

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that in at least one of the connecting elements (101a, 101b) more than two outer conductors (102a, 102b) are arranged around the inner conductor (103a, 103b), wherein adjacent outer conductors (102a, 102b) are respectively arranged at a mutually equal spacing and/or the outer conductors (102a, 102b) surrounding the inner conductor (103a, 103b) are arranged at a respective at least approximately equal spacing relative to the inner conductor (103a, 103b).

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that in at least one of the connecting elements (101a, 101b) the outer conductors (102a, 102b) are arranged to extend through edges, preferably corner points of a notional rectangle in the cross-sectional plane of the connecting element, preferably a square or another regular polygon or a circle, wherein the inner conductor (103a, 103b) is arranged to extend on a central axis of said configuration.

14. A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the outer conductors (102a) of the first connecting element (101a) are respectively identical.

15. A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the outer conductors (102b) of the second connecting element (101b) are respectively identical.

16. A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the outer conductors (102a) of the first connecting element (101a) are of a different configuration from the outer conductors (102b) of the second connecting element (101b).

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that the inner conductor (103a, 103b) in regard to a mechanical structure is in the form of an identical conductor like at least one of the outer conductors (102a, 102b) of the same connecting element (101a, 101b), preferably like each of the outer conductors (102a, 102b) of the same connecting element (101a, 101b).

A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 17 characterised in that the inner conductor (103b, 103a) of the connecting element in regard to a mechanical structure is in the form of an identical conductor like each of the outer conductors (102a, 102b) of the same connecting element (101a, 101b) and that the conductors (102a, 103a;

102b, 103b) are arranged in rows, wherein each of the rows has at least three conductors (102a, 103a;

102b, 103b).

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that in at least one of the connecting elements (101a) at least one of the outer conductors (102a) and/or the inner conductors (103a) is or are arranged fixed in a dielectric body, preferably embedded therein.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that in at least one of the connecting elements (101b) at least one of the outer conductors (102b) and/or the inner conductors (103b) is mounted movably in a dielectric body, preferably being resiliently supported.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 20 characterised in that the outer conductor (102b) and/or the inner conductor (103b) of at least one of the two connecting elements has a multi-part body, preferably with a receiving sleeve (h) fixed in the dielectric body, a spring (f) arranged in the receiving sleeve (h) and a pin (s) which is guided in the receiving sleeve (h) and supported on the spring (f).

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of claims 20 and 21 characterised in that at least one of the outer conductors (102b) and/or the inner conductors (103b) of the one connecting element (101b) is respectively in the form of a body resiliently supported in a dielectric body and the outer conductors (102a) and the inner conductor (103a) of the other connecting element (101a) are in the form of bodies fixedly embedded in a dielectric body of the second connecting element.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of claims 20 through 22 characterised in that at least one of the outer conductors (102a, 102b) and/or the inner conductors (103a, 103b) of at least one of the two connecting elements (101a, 101b) extends through the dielectric body and the contact end is arranged flush in an end face of the dielectric body or is arranged to project beyond the end face of the dielectric body.

A mobile telephone device as set forth in claim 23 characterised in that the end face of the dielectric body is flat or curved, preferably arranged curved outwardly or inwardly, wherein it is preferably provided that the end face of the dielectric body is arranged at least substantially perpendicularly to the axial extent of the inner conductor (103a, 103b) and/or the outer conductor (102a, 102b).

25. A mobile telephone device as set forth in one of the preceding claims characterised in that for mutual centering and/or mechanical coupling of the connecting elements (101a, 101b) in the connecting position there is provided a centering device or a mechanical coupling device respectively, which is connected to the connecting elements or a portion connected thereto.
