A network management system comprising a data acquisition module (DAM) coming from the carrier network managed, characterised in that it comprises a trend calculation module (TCM) able to determine the trend of a set of acquired data, and a satisfaction calculation module (SCM) able to determine the satisfaction of conditions associated with the said trends, to determine the time at which a condition commences no longer to be satisfied, and to trigger an alarm when the said time exceeds a given threshold.
