Abstract

The invention relates to an electrical system for a ship, comprising generators, electrical consumers, such as electric motors, and an on-board power supply system with switchgears etc. as the components of the system. The electrical system is further characterized in that it supplies sufficient electrical energy in all operating states of the ship and that the system components are automatically controlled by digitized standard modules.

Claims

1. A marine electrical system having system components, which can be controlled and regulated by digital standard modules, in the form of generators, electrical loads such as electric motors and an on-board power supply system with switchgear assemblies etc., ith the electrical system ensuring that adequate electrical power is provided in all operating states of the ship, characterized in that the system components are controlled and regulated by standard modules which operate digitally in all operating states, with each of the standard modules each being provided only for controlling and regulating in each case one of the system components.

The marine electrical system as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that, the respective standard modules which operate digitally and are provided for controlling and regulating in each case one of the system components are connected via a bus system which is in the form of a Profibus (Process Field Bus) system.

3. The marine electrical system as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the marine electrical system has programmable logic controllers, in particular of the Siemens SIMATIC S7 type.

4. The marine electrical system as claimed in claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the marine electrical system can be programmed at any time in particular using the programming language Step 7.

The marine electrical system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the marine electrical system has control and monitoring appliances which run using Windows. in that the components of this marine electrical system have standard switch panels and/or standard switchgear cabinets.

7. The marine electrical system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the marine electrical system has a power generator/control/regulation and switching automatic system.

8. The marine electrical system as claimed in claim 7, characterized in that the power generator automatic system is designed to optimize the power generation on a financial basis (power management).

9. The marine electrical system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the marine electrical system has generator protection functions.

10. The marine electrical system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the marine electrical system has generator synchronization appliances.

11. The marine electrical system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the marine electrical system has control panels for control and observation, measurement converters and isolating transformers.

12. The marine electrical system as claimed in one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the marine electrical system is designed such that a choice of operating modes is possible for individual operation or group operation of the generators.
