Abstract

An ultra-low profile vibrating transducer, particularly suited for floor mat and ultra thin vibrating pad and multimedia tactical feedback applications, using an “I” core coil in the center and permanent magnets positioned at both ends of the “I” core to create balanced push-pull vibrating actions. Mounting methods to effectively transfer energy to the users while withstanding user'"'"'s body weight. “I” core coil may be driven by AC power, pulsed and/or DC power or audio power. Elastomeric supports are configured to provide rotational leverage action to further enhance the vibrating effectiveness.

Claims

1. An ultra low profile vibrating transducer, suitable for a floor mat and or vibrating pad, comprising:

an “

I”

core coil electromagnet, supported by elastomers to allow vibration up or down or rotate respect to the center of laminate;

a plurality of permanent magnets, which may be permanent magnets or electromagnets, placed adjacent to each end of the “

I”

core electromagnets, with a small air gap, wherein the magnets have opposite poles at the upper and lower faces, the magnets are supported by flexible elastomer which can act as supporting and pivoting point of magnets to allow rotational vibration respect to the supporting and pivoting structure of the magnet; and

a supporting structure to maintain lateral spacing position of magnetic laminate and magnets.

2. A magnetic vibrating transducer according to the claim 1, comprising:

an “

I”

core magnetic laminate and magnets adjacent to the end of “

I”

core; and

a frame surrounding both “

I”

core and magnets and fastening elastomer in order to substantially support body static weight and to keep direct weight constricting vibration of magnets and “

I”

core magnetic laminates.

3. A magnetic vibrating transducer according to the claim 2, comprising:

a frame structure to support vibrating magnets from collapsing; and

a soft tissue-like foam placed on the under side of the vibrating magnets to float up to magnets substantially to the upper surface such that higher energy is coupled to the upper side of the magnets and allows more space below the magnet such that minimum energy coupled to the floor.

4. A magnetic vibrating transducer consisting of “

core and magnets according to the claim 3, further comprising upper and lower laminates to shield the vibrator from moisture, dust and the environmental interference with protection from wear and tear.

5. A magnetic vibrating transducer according to claim 3, comprising:

core magnetic laminate;

magnets placed at ends of “

I”

core magnetic laminate spaced laterally in line;

multiple sets of “

I”

core magnetic laminates; and

magnets cascading alternately in a lateral direction such that it is activated from adjacent “

I”

core magnet magnetic laminate with opposing polarity to create rocking action of magnets, further creating truly balanced rotating vibrating action of magnets.

12. A magnetic vibrating transducer according to the claim 1, comprising:

an “

I”

core magnetic laminate and magnets adjacent to the end of “

I”

core; and

a frame surrounding both “

I”

core and magnets and fastening elastomer in order to substantially support body static weight and to keep direct weight constricting vibration of magnets and “

I”

core magnetic laminates.

13. A magnetic vibrating transducer according to the claim 2, comprising:

a frame structure to support vibrating magnets from collapsing; and

a soft tissue-like foam placed on the under side of the vibrating magnets to float up to magnets substantially to the upper surface such that higher energy is coupled to the upper side of the magnets and allows more space below the magnet such that minimum energy coupling to the floor.
