Abstract

The invention relates to a method for applying fluids, especially particle material, on a area that is to be coated, wherein the fluid is applied on the area to be coated in front of a blade when observed from the direction of forward movement of the blade and said blade is then displaced on the applied fluid. The method is characterized in that the blade performs an oscillation similar to a rotational movement.

Claims

1. A procedure of applying a fluid—

especially one comprising particle material—

on a section to be coated;

the fluid is applied to this section before a moving blade and subsequently passed over by the blade.

This procedure is characterized as follows;

The blade (19) vibrates in a circular motion.

2. Procedure according to claim 1.

This procedure is characterized as follows:

Fluid is applied in excess measure to the section to be coated (2).

3. Procedure according to claim 1 or 2.

This procedure is characterized as follows:

The rotary motion (12) of the blade (1) takes place about an axis (12A) aligned with the direction of fluid propagation and positioned above the section to be coated.

4. Procedure according to any one of claims 1 to 3.

This procedure is characterized as follows:

The rotary motion takes place in an angular range between 0.1 and 5°

.

5. A device for applying a fluid —

especially with any one of the procedures defined by the earlier claims—

to a section to be coated;

the device comprises a moving blade with a leading dosage unit which applies the fluid to the section to be coated. The blade then advances over the applied fluid.

This device is characterized as follows;

The blade (1) is mounted so as to be capable of vibrating in a rotary motion.

6. Device according to claim 5.

This device is characterized as follows:

The axis (12A) about which the rotary motion (12) of the blade (1) takes place as viewed in the direction of fluid propagation is located above the section to be coated (2).

7. Device according to claim 5 or 6.

This device is characterized as follows:

The axis of rotation (12A) is designed so that the blade (1) can rotate (12) in the angular range between 0.1 and 5°

.

8. Device according to any one of claims 5 to 7.

This device is characterized as follows:

The blade (1) extends over the entire length or width of the section to be coated (2).

9. Device according to any one of claims 5 to 8.

This device is characterized as follows:

The blade (1) is essentially aligned orthogonally with respect to the section to be coated (2).

10. Device according to any one of claims 5 to 9.

This device is characterized as follows:

The blade (1) is driven by at least one fast electric motor whose eccentric causes the blade (1) to vibrate.

11. Device according to any one of claims 5 to 10.

This device is characterized as follows:

The profile of the blade (1) forms an intermediate reservoir of fluid ahead of the blade'"'"'s travel (21), the reservoir preferably shaped like a roller (4).

12. Device according to any one of claims 5 to 11.

This device is characterized as follows:

The surface of the blade (1) facing the section to be coated (2) has rounded edges (20A, 20B) as viewed in the direction of forward or reverse travel.

13. Use of a device according to any one of claims 5 to 12 to apply particle material (11) containing bonding agents.

14. Use of a device according to any one of claims 5 to 12 in a process of creating casting patterns.
