Method for measuring surface properties and co-ordinate measuring device
First Claim
1. Method for measuring surface properties of a work-piece using a coordinate measuring device including a scanning molded element supported on the surface and movable relative to this whose position either directly is recorded with an optical sensor, or a position of at least one mark directly allocated to the scanning molded element is recorded with an optical sensor, thereby characterized by an optical-electronic scanning sensor being used as the optical sensor with which electively the surface properties can be directly measured, or with which the position of the scanning element or the mark allocated to this is indirectly or directly measured.

Abstract
The aim of the invention is to measure the surface properties of a workpiece in an extremely precise manner by means of a co-ordinate measuring device (10), independently from the material properties of said workpiece. To this end, the inventive method involves a moulded probe element (30) which can be displaced along co-ordinate axes (X, Y, Z), and an optical sensor (32) detecting the movement of said probe element on the surface of the workpiece. The optical sensor (32) is an optoelectronic distance sensor, and the moulded probe element (30) is displaceably arranged in relation to the distance sensor in such a way that said distance sensor optionally directly measures the surface, or the position of the moulded probe element.

5. Method according to at least one of the proceeding claims, thereby characterized by a ranging scanner operating according to the video autofocus method, the laser autofocus method or the Foucault cutting principle being used.
- 9. Coordinate measuring device (10) for measuring surface properties of a work-piece (34) including a scanning molded element (30, 44) movable along coordinate axes (X, Y, Z) of the coordinates measuring device as well as the optical sensor recording its motion on the surface (36, 38, 58, 60) of the work-piece, thereby characterized by the optical sensor (32, 48) being an optical-electronic ranging sensor and the ranging molded element (30, 44) being arranged in an adjustable manner in relation to the ranging sensor such that this electively measures the surface (36, 38, 58, 60) directly or measures the position of the scanning molded element.
