1. A delivery device for implanting a medical device, said delivery device comprising:

  • a flexible elongate member being sized and shaped to fit within a vessel, said elongate member having a first end and a second end;

    a collet located at the first end of said flexible elongate member and movable between a first position and a second position within said elongate member, said collet having at least two arms, said arms being movable between a first open state and a second collapsed state, said arms forming an inner chamber when in said collapsed state; and

    an actuator affixed to the flexible elongate tubular member, said actuator changing the relative position of said collet and said flexible elongate member between said first position wherein said flexible elongate member substantially surrounds said collet thereby forcing said arms in said closed state and said second position wherein said flexible elongate member substantially does not surround said collet thereby permitting said arms in said open state.
