1. A trocar assembly for providing a pressurized insufflation fluid into a patient cavity and sealable access to said patient cavity by a surgical instrument, comprising:
- an inner tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end;
an outer tubular member disposed about said inner tubular member, said outer tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end, said distal end of said inner tubular member and said distal end of said outer tubular member defining a trocar fluid seal nozzle arranged therebetween.

Abstract
A trocar assembly for providing a pressurized insufflation fluid into a patient cavity and for providing sealable access to the patient cavity by a surgical instrument. The assembly comprises an inner tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end. An outer tubular member is disposed about the inner tubular member, the outer tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end of the inner tubular member and the distal end of the outer tubular member define a trocar seal nozzle arranged therebetween.

placing an inner tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end into an outer tubular member, said outer tubular member having a proximal end and a distal end, said distal end of said inner tubular member and said distal end of said outer tubular member defining a trocar seal nozzle arranged therebetween;
forming an arcuate opening between said distal ends of said inner tubular member and said outer tubular member to comprise said nozzle;
introducing a pressurized fluid into said outer tubular member; and

31. A method of sealing a trocar assembly within a cavity of a patient during a surgical procedure by an instrument within that cavity of the patient, comprising:
