- (a) a catheter disposed substantially in the axial direction and formed into a hollow body opened at its distal and proximal ends; and
(b) a catheter hub comprising a through bore extending substantially in the axial direction for inserting a proximal portion of the catheter therethrough, wherein the catheter is adhered or welded to the catheter hub.
