Abstract
A wireless device displays a view of location data to a user. The location data includes readily recognizable features in a geographical area, such as a geographical map or a list of cities, neighborhoods, businesses, intersections, streets, or landmarks. A user selects a particular location data from the view and the selected location data is displayed in more detail. The process of selecting particular location data and displaying that location data in more detail continues until a location can be specified from the displayed view.
