Abstract

A device and method to make the identification signal of the image feature with a decreased volume of database for the image by using DCT sign characteristic of an arbitrary signal including the image, which can be applied to a new type of passport, credit card, driver'"'"'s license, ID card, etc that are hard to forge by displaying the face photo together with the corresponding bar code. The device and method to make the identification signal of the image feature can contribute to the overall security system greatly.

The device to make the identification signal of the image feature includes the image input part, the DCT conversion part to convert the input image data into discrete cosine transform (DCT) sign of two-dimension, the part of composing one-dimension binary signal in which the one-dimension binary signal is composed from the DCT sign of the data transformed as mentioned above.

Claims

1. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature which has the feature of having the image input part, the DCT conversion part that transforms the input image data into two-dimension discrete cosine transform (DCT), and the one-dimension binary signal composition part that composes one-dimension signal from the DCT sign of the data transformed.

3. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 1, in which the positive and negative signs of DCT sign are determined by the DCT conversion part after DCT transforming has been made.

A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 1, in which the information determined from the DCT average amplitude of a lot of object images or the size of DCT amplitude of one object image is provided by the said DCT sign extraction information offering part.

5. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 1, in which the image input part consists of a picture-taking means that takes picture of a subject, an image-capturing and processing part that registers necessary images, and a pixel number setting part.

6. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 1, in which the image input part consists of a scanner-registering part, an image-capturing and processing part that captures necessary images, and a pixel number setting part.

7. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 1, in which the face part of a subject is captured from the image input part.

8. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 1, in which a bar-coding means is provided to bar-code the one-dimension binary signal that has been composed in the said one-dimension binary signal composition part.

A device to make the identification signal of the image feature which has the feature of having the input image part, the DCT conversion part that transforms the input image data into two-dimension discrete cosine transform (DCT), the extracting part that extracts the feature of the said image data based on the information provided by the DCT sign extraction information providing part, and one-dimension binary signal composition part that composes one-dimension signal from the DCT sign of the said data extracted.

A method to make the identification signal of the image feature, in which the image is input by the image input part, the input image data is transformed into two-dimension discrete cosine transform (DCT), the one-dimension binary signal is composed by the said transformed DCT sign of the image data, and the said composed signal is bar-coded.

11. A device to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9, in which, the positive and negative signs for DCT signs are determined by the DCT conversion part after DCT converting has been made.

12. A method to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9, in which the said DCT sign extraction information is that determined by average amplitude of full picture DCT of a lot of object images or the size of the DCT amplitude of one object image.

13. A method to make identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9, in which input image data is the image data of a face photo.

14. A passport affixing together with a face photo, or independently, a bar code obtained through the method to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9.

15. A credit card affixing together with a face photo, or independently, a bar code obtained through the method to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9.

16. A driver'"'"'s license affixing together with a face photo, or independently, a bar code obtained through the method to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9.

17. An ID card affixing together with a face photo, or independently, a bar code obtained through a method to make the identification signal of the image feature according to claim 9.

A method to make the identification signal of the image feature, in which the image is input by the image input part, the input image data is transformed into two-dimension discrete cosine transform (DCT), the said image feature is extracted based on the DCT sign extraction information, the one-dimension binary signal is composed by the DCT sign of the said extracted image data, and the said composed signal is bar-coded.
