Beet Harvester apparatus
First Claim
1. A beet harvester comprising a mobile frame, a first set of plurality of pairs of beet digging discs aligned laterally of one another along a first row laterally of the direction of movement of the frame, a second set of a plurality of pairs of beete digging discs aligned laterally of one another along a second row on the frame behind the first row with the digging discs in the second row aligned longitudinally behind and between the plurality of pairs of discs in the first row, so that the first row of digging discs may dig up beets along longitudinal paths spaced laterally of one another and the second set of digging discs may dig up beets along longitudinal paths laterally between the paths of the first set of discs.

Abstract
The invention comprises a beet harvesting device. The device has a first plurality of pairs of laterally positioned harvesting discs, and a second pair of laterally positioned harvesting discs, with the second pair being spaced longitudinally from the first plurality of pairs of discs and laterally between the paths of the first plurality of pairs of harvesting discs so that beets may be harvested in a path between the first plurality of pairs of discs, to thereby provide a novel apparatus for more readily harvesting beets in paths narrower than customarily harvested with a first plurality of pairs of laterally positioned harvesting discs.

2. A beet harvester device comprising a mobile frame, a first and second plurality of pairs of digging discs mounted on said frame for digging beets with the second plurality of pairs of discs mounted on said frame behind the first plurality of pairs of discs, conveying means on said frame to convey beets dug by said first plurality of pair of discs rearward past said second plurality of pairs of discs of a common locations adjacent the rear of the frame, conveying means on said frame behind said second plurality of pairs of discs for conveying beets dug by said second plurality rearward to said common location, whereby mechanism at said common location may further convey the beets off the mobile frame.
