1. A Boarding Pass for use in boarding passengers in aircraft or other means of transportation and/or while the passengers are aboard and/or after disembarkation, the Boarding Pass comprising a main coupon part and a passenger coupon part detachable from the main coupon part along a detachment line, the main coupon part and the passenger coupon part each having a front face carrying visible printed data associated with spaces where passenger data and travel data are printed, there being disposed on the front and/or rear face of the main coupon and passenger coupon parts a magnetic strip and/or storage chip for storing encoded data that is readable by means of a suitable reader/writer, the encoded data corresponding at least in part to printed passenger data and travel data, characterized in that:

  • a first magnetized strip and/or storage chip is disposed on the main coupon part and a separate second magnetized strip and/or storage chip is disposed on the passenger coupon part, the first and second magnetized strips and/or storage chips being separated from one another and spaced apart on either side of the detachment line and in particular being merged in thick portions of the Boarding Pass, the first magnetized strip and/or storage chip storing encoded passenger data and travel data that are readable by passing the entire Boarding Pass or only the main coupon part through a suitable reader/writer, and the second magnetized strip and/or storage chip storing encoded passenger data and travel data that are readable by passing the passenger coupon part through a suitable reader/writer.
