Abstract

An information ring for use with a catheter is disclosed. The information ring includes a body having a first end and a second end. The body has a first body face extending between the first end and the second end, and a second, generally convex face extending between the first end and the second end. The body has an opening extending therethrough between the first body face and the second face. A first indicia portion is located at the first end. The first indicia portion has a first indicia face sized to allow indicia to be printed on the first indicia face.

51. A conduit assembly comprising:

a conduit having a first end and a second end;

a catheter information ring comprising;

a first body having a first free face and a first connected face;

a second body having a second free face and a second connected face, wherein the first body and the second body are generally parallel to each other;

a connector portion extending between the first connected face and the second connected face,

wherein a generally U-shaped opening is formed by the first connected face, the connector portion, and the second connected face, and

wherein the first free face includes indicia printed thereon; and

a conduit clamp having first and second openings along an axis,

wherein the information ring is disposed such that the generally U-shaped opening is along the axis between the first and second openings of the conduit clamp and wherein the conduit extends through the first and second openings of the conduit clamp and the generally U-shaped opening.

52. The catheter information ring according to claim 51, wherein the second free face includes indicia printed thereon.

53. The conduit assembly according to claim 51, wherein the conduit further comprises a first fitting fixedly connected to the first end of the conduit and a second fitting fixedly connected to the second end of the conduit.

54. The conduit assembly according to claim 52, wherein the information ring is configured to allow the conduit to be removed from the opening extending between the first body face and the second body face of the information ring without removing either of the first and second fittings from the conduit.

55. The conduit assembly according to claim 51, wherein the first body face is generally planar.
