Abstract

A mobile station apparatus in a CDMA/TDD mobile communication system employs a communication frame including a plurality of time slots. The time slots include a plurality of forward link time slots, disposed at regular intervals in the communication frame and assigned a common control channel. The time slots further include time slots other than the plurality of forward link time slots, divided into reverse link time slots and forward link time slots according to an amount of information on a forward link and on a reverse link. The mobile station apparatus includes a receiver that receives the communication frame including the plurality of time slots. A measurer measures individual reception qualities of the plurality of forward link time slots in the received communication frame including the forward link time slots assigned the common control channel. A weighter assigns a weight to each measured reception quality of the plurality of forward time slots. A transmission power controller performs transmission power control for reverse link time slots according to individual reception qualities of weighted forward link time slots.

16. A mobile station apparatus in a CDMA/TDD mobile communication system that employs a communication frame comprising a plurality of time slots including a plurality of forward link time slots, disposed at regular intervals in the communication frame and assigned a common control channel and time slots other than the plurality of forward link time slots, divided into reverse link time slots and forward link time slots according to an amount of information on a forward link and on a reverse link, the mobile station apparatus comprising:

a receiver that receives the communication frame comprising the plurality of time slots;

a measurer that measures individual reception qualities of the plurality of forward link time slots in the received communication frame including the forward link time slots assigned the common control channel;

a weighter that assigns a weight to each measured reception quality of the plurality of forward link time slots; and

a transmission power controller that performs transmission power control for reverse link time slots according to individual reception qualities of weighted forward link time slots.

17. The mobile station apparatus of claim 16, wherein the weighter assigns a greater weight to a reception quality of a forward link time slot in response to a decrease in an interval from said forward link time slot to a reverse link time slot that is subject to a transmission power control.

18. The mobile station apparatus of claim 16,

wherein, when propagation path conditions change rapidly, the weighter increases a weight of a reception quality of a forward link time slot having a minimum interval to a reverse link time slot that is subject to transmission power control;

and

when propagation path conditions change slowly, the weighter increases a weight of a reception quality of a forward link time slot that is assigned a same channel as a channel assigned to said reverse link time slot.

19. The mobile station apparatus according to claim 16, wherein the transmission power controller is configured to combine individual weighted reception qualities of forward link time slots, to estimate propagation path conditions, and to perform an open loop transmission power control.

A transmission power control method in a CDMA/TDD mobile communication system that employs a communication frame comprising a plurality of time slots including a plurality of forward link time slots, disposed at regular intervals in the communication frame and assigned a common control channel, and time slots other than the plurality of forward link time slots, divided into reverse link time slots and forward link time slots according to an amount of information on a forward link and on a reverse link, the method comprising:

receiving the communication frame comprising the plurality of time slots;

measuring individual reception qualities of the plurality of forward link time slots in the received communication frame including the forward link time slots assigned the common control channel;

assigning a weight to each measured reception quality of the plurality of forward link time slots; and

performing transmission power control for reverse link time slots according to individual reception qualities of weighted forward link time slots.

21. A CDMA/TDD communication system in which a base station apparatus and a mobile station apparatus communicate using a communication frame comprising a plurality of time slots that are each assigned one of a reverse link and a forward link, the base station apparatus comprising:

an assigner that assigns a common control channel to a plurality of forward link time slots, among the plurality of time slots that are disposed at regular intervals;

a controller that divides time slots other than the plurality of forward link time slots assigned the common control channel into reverse link time slots and forward link time slots according to an amount of information on a forward link and a reverse link and generates a communication frame; and

a transmitter that transmits the generated communication frame, the mobile station apparatus comprising;

a receiver that receives the communication frame comprising transmitted from the base station apparatus;

a measurer that measures individual reception qualities of the plurality of forward link time slots in the received communication frame including the forward link time slots assigned the common control channel;

a weighter that assigns a weight to each measured reception quality of the plurality of forward link time slots; and

a transmission power controller that performs transmission power control for reverse link time slots according to individual reception qualities of weighted forward link time slots.
