Abstract

Apparatus for use with a hand manipulable flowable material dispenser, the combination comprising a dispensing nozzle associated with the dispenser to dispense material, and a spreader surface associated with the nozzle whereby the dispenser may be manipulated to cause the spreader surface to spread material dispensed via the nozzle, and the spreader surface can be used to spread material around after it is dispensed.

Claims

28. A spreader, comprising:

a container, having a closed end and an open end, capable of holding a spreadable food item; and

a nozzle, mounted at the open end of the container, and having an opening in fluid communication with the open end of the container such that the spreadable food item can flow through the opening of the nozzle.

29. The spreader of claim 28, wherein the nozzle is in the shape of a knife.

30. The spreader of claim 28, wherein the nozzle is in the shape of a spatula.

31. A spreader, comprising:

a container, having a base and a lid opposite the base, the container capable of holding a spreadable food item;

a detachable handle mounted on the container;

a plunger, adapted to engage the detachable handle such that when the detachable handle is depressed, the plunger exerts pressure on the spreadable food item in the container; and

a dispenser nozzle, mounted on the exterior of the container proximate to the base of the container, in fluid communication with the interior of the container such that the spreadable food item may be forced through the dispenser nozzle.

32. The spreader of claim 31, wherein the detachable handle is mounted on the container along the exterior of the container generally flush with the exterior of the container.

33. The spreader of claim 31, wherein the detachable handle is mounted on the container at the lid in engagement with the plunger.

34. The spreader of claim 31, wherein the dispenser nozzle is in a first upright position, such as for storage.

35. The spreader of claim 31, wherein the dispenser nozzle is in a second position, generally perpendicular to the container for dispensing the food item.

36. A spreader, comprising:

a container;

a bag, disposed within the container for holding a food item; and

a nozzle, mounted at an open end of the container.

2. The combination of claim 1 wherein the spreader surface has the form of a blade or spatula surface attached to the dispenser.

3. The combination of claim 2 wherein the spreader surface is proximate the nozzle.

6. The combination of claim 3 wherein the nozzle is flexible.

14. The combination of claim 2 where the nozzle has an accordian shape which elongates when flowable material is extruded outward.

17. The combination of claim 14 wherein said nozzle has a plurality of apertures to permit the flow of material therehrough.

37. The spreader of claim 36, further comprising a threaded end disposed at the open end of the container.

38. The spreader of claim 36, wherein the nozzle further comprises a thread for engaging the threaded end of the container.

41. The spreader of claim 39, further comprising a cap to engage the exterior of the nozzle.

39-1. The spreader of claim 39, wherein the plunger is generally the shape of the nozzle.

41-2. The spreader of claim 38, wherein the cap includes a cavity generally in the shape of the nozzle for receiving the nozzle.

42. A spreader, comprising:

a container, having a base and a lid opposite the base, the container capable of holding a spreadable food item;

a plunger engaged by a screw activate mechanism, said plunger being thrust downward thereby to exert pressure on the spreadable food item in the container; and

a dispenser nozzle, mounted on the exterior of the container proximate to the base of the container, in fluid communication with the interior of the container such that the spreadable food item may be forced through the dispenser nozzle.
