Abstract

An industrial tow truck (1) includes an electrical traction drive system. At least one fuel cell unit (9) is used as the energy supply for the electrical traction drive system.

Claims

1. An industrial tow truck, comprising:

an electrical traction drive system; and

at least one fuel cell unit configured to supply energy to the electrical traction drive system.

2. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 1, including a replaceable fuel reservoir.

3. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 2, wherein the fuel reservoir and fuel cell unit are realized in the form of a device that can be replaced as a unit.

4. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fuel cell unit is a hydrogen fuel cell unit.

5. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 1, wherein a fuel that is liquid at room temperature is used for operation of the fuel cell unit.

6. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 5, wherein the fuel is methanol.

7. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 5, wherein the fuel cell unit is a direct fuel cell.

8. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 1, wherein the waste heat of the fuel cell unit is used for heating and air-conditioning a driver'"'"'s cab.

9. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 2, wherein the fuel cell unit is a hydrogen fuel cell unit.

10. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 3, wherein the fuel cell unit is a hydrogen fuel cell unit.

11. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 2, wherein a fuel that is liquid at room temperature is used for operation of the fuel cell unit.

12. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 3, wherein a fuel that is liquid at room temperature is used for operation of the fuel cell unit.

13. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 2, wherein the waste heat of the fuel cell unit is used for heating and air-conditioning a driver'"'"'s cab.

14. The industrial tow truck as claimed in claim 3, wherein the waste heat of the fuel cell unit is used for heating and air-conditioning a driver'"'"'s cab.
